WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes reveals why he wears suits
Cody Rhodes is one of the “Dashing” WWE Superstars with good looks and a great dressing style. He is one of the greatest babyfaces of the company at present and never fails to give his best on whatever he does. Whether it’s a big pay-per-view fight or it comes to the mic, he delivers his best. Ever wondered why he always wears a suit when he comes to cut promos after his return in 2022? Well Rhodes himself had explained that.
Cody on his Suits
Cody Rhodes on the WWE After The Bell Podcast with Corey Graves and Kevin Patrick talked about why he wears a coat, whether it is a part of gimmick or not, when he started wearing coats on a regular basis, how it boosts his confidence and more.
Cody explained,
“When I went on the independent scene, I’d be wearing a suit. That on an independent level was very different. A lot of people hadn’t seen that and it was a gimmick I think, if I can use that word. It was a gimmick. It was part of a character more or less. It just slowly went from that to I think the next gimmick was, Hey! I want to look like I’m in charge.”
Cody continued by stating how really he enjoys wearing suits on various occasions,
“It was no longer a gimmick. I loved it. I loved the culture of fashion at a wrestling event. It may be my visits to New Japan, where you see Okada showing up to the building in a Ferrari with an immaculate suit. Sanada wearing immaculate tailored suit. They were trying to be on an NBA level of fashion. NFL draft level. I’ve just always loved that. It’s no longer a gimmick.”
He also said that the Late U.S. President John F. Kennedy was his inspiration to wear a suit by stating himself as a “suit guy”.
