The Bloodline storyline has been running WWE for almost three years now and has been through multiple twists and turns. They had a solid rise last year with great success and successful championship reigns as one. However the decline in the stable started since the beginning of this year. The internal tensions in the Bloodline has taken lots of twists and turns and has reached a point where the ever united twins The Usos, now have to stand at opposite corners for the first time.

At SummerSlam 2023, Roman Reigns faced his cousin Jey Uso in a Tribal Combat Match, where the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and “The Tribal Chief” title was defended on the line. Both Roman and Jey risked their body’s for the Tribal Chief position, where Jey single handedly managed to control Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa to have the upper hand.

When Jey was about to pin Roman for the win, Jimmy Uso returned after weeks and betrayed Jey to cost his win. He pulled Jey’s leg while covering for the pinfall and super kicked him on the face to make Roman retain the championship and the Tribal Chief status.

Jey Uso vs Jimmy Uso for Payback? or WrestleMania 40?

The rumors around the storyline speculated that Jimmy and Jey will have a one on one match for the first time at Payback. But, it was now reported that one of the WWE creative writers is planning to book a match between Jimmy and Jey for WrestleMania 40 instead of Payback.

According to WrestlingVotes on X (Twitter),

“Hearing that at least one creative force backstage wants WWE to wait for WrestleMania to do the first Uso ‘Brother v Brother’ match. However that’s unlikely at this point I’m told, with the feeling that 35 weeks is too long of a stretch.”

As they fight for the first time, the ‘Brother vs Brother’ match at WrestleMania 40 would be great, but stretching the story for 35 weeks seems to be so long.

Jey already talked about fighting Jimmy at WrestleMania

Before the idea has been pitched, Jey spoke about fighting Jimmy at WrestleMania. In an interview with Fightful, Jey spoke about fighting his brother at the grandest stage of them all before their career ends.

Jey said,

“Before our career is done. That’s our number one dream of happening. Me vs. him at WrestleMania. It’s like back in the living room. From day one, this is what we always wanted to do. I want my dad to be involved. I want my whole family to run this thing. Me being against my brother, my heart would be filled with joy.”
