WWE RAW has been blooming since new storylines have been introduced. We are just some weeks away from WWE Payback 2023. So, this week’s WWE RAW will be building up for the major PPV. This week we might find storylines developing, and many other matches getting revealed for WWE Payback 2023.

There have been too many storylines, going on, whether it cracks between Judgement Day, Shinsuke attacking Seth Rollins, or Chad Gable getting his opportunity to challenge GUNTHER, many things are going around. So, here we will bring out all the information we have for the matches and will bring you a RAW preview. But, beware there might be spoilers.

The August 21, 2023 episode of Monday Night Raw is scheduled to be held at the Centre Videotron in Quebec City, Canada. As WWE has not booked most of the matches at SummerSlam, some rivalries can end their feud, and some could start a new feud on the episode. So, here is a brief preview of the August 21 episode of Raw.

Confirmed Match card

  • Gunther vs. Chad Gable
  • New Day vs. Glass-Bros (Matt Riddle & Drew McIntyre)
  • Nakamura will reveal what he said to Rollins

Gunther vs Chad Gable (Intercontinental Championship match)

Chad Gable has been one of RAW’s top babyfaces recently, garnering increasingly louder (positive) responses as he ascended to become the #1 challenger to Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship. Although Ludwig Kaiser of Imperium has been courting Maxxine Dupri to jump sides once more, he has been unsuccessful, and Gable beat Giovanni Vinci last week.

However, it all comes to a climax this week, with Gunther only two weeks away from being the Intercontinental Champion’s longest-reigning champion of all time. We expect a tremendous match with an outstanding performance by Gable, but it’s difficult to imagine Gunther losing his momentum and Intercontinental championship on RAW only two weeks before breaking The Honky Tonk Man’s record.

Predicted winner: GUNTHER

New Day vs Glass-Bros (Matt Riddle & Drew McIntyre)

Glass-Bros, Matt Riddle, and Drew McIntyre have proven to be a successful tag team combo twice already. They first defeated Imperium last month, and then the Viking Raiders last week. Matt Riddle was already looking forward to a tag team title match after his triumph last week. However, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of New Day were eager to interfere and voice their desire for the belts. This has set them up for a match on this week’s RAW.

The verbal brawl resulted in a contest between the two teams – and while it isn’t officially a number one contender’s match for the Undisputed Tag Team Titles, the tone of what they said made it apparent that there are title implications for this matchup. With the tag division in cold, WWE might want to bring big names to again resurge and bring out more exciting stuff in the tag division, so, I feel that Glass-Bro is going to win this week on RAW.

Predicted Winner: Glass-Bro

Shinsuke Nakamura will reveal what he said to Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura squared off last week following Nakamura’s unexpected attack on Rollins two weeks prior. They agreed to a championship fight at a later date, but just as they were shaking hands, Nakamura mumbled something in Rollins’ ear that bothered Rollins. Rollins was then caught by Nakamura with another Kinshasa and laid out. What Nakamura told Rollins will now be revealed on this week’s WWE RAW.

Surprise Debuts and Returns

There have been no reports of anybody going to make a surprise return yet, but it is WWE and WWE is full of surprises. So, there is a huge probability we might see superstars who are away from television for a long time such as Johnny Gargano, Indus Sher, Indie Hartwell, Dolph Ziggler, and some more wrestlers are expected to return to television.
