Sheamus was once dubbed to be a top-tier main eventer of WWE and has been through four World Championship reigns. Although with a great past with the company, The Celtic Warrior seems to be more frustrated with the creative. The 45-year-old had a recent interview with The Daily Star, where he spoke his mind out by expressing his frustrations with the WWE Creative in the past.

Sheamus on his frustrations

Sheamus stated that he is not totally upset about the company or the wrestling he performs inside the ring, as his character is all about “all fists and elbows”, but what makes him bother is the creative behind the company. He stated that he came out with a great “organic momentum”, but it was “Just Wasted”. His momentum is still within him, but it came to an end “just like with WrestleMania”. After WrestleMania, Drew went away due to an injury, but he was within the company but still had nothing.

He added that after Clash at the Castle 2022, he was not booked for any premium live events, which made him frustrated. He also recalled his fight at the SummerSlam War Games, “but that was sh**t”. He further added that he is “not much of a politician” backstage to fight with the company.

Sheamus on Intercontinental Championship

Sheamus stated that the journey to capturing the Intercontinental Championship is still fresh, as it is the one title he hasn’t had his name on. Even for the match between Gunther and McIntyre at SummerSlam, people mentioning his name still make it his story. He also said that he would definitely like to retire winning the title, but nothing is in his hands, as “I can just do what I can do”.

Sheamus on Not being a part of the Money in the Bank in UK

He stated that he was “gutted” at MITB, but was happy for Butch, who had a great fight in the ladder match and for Ridge Holland, who fought the previous night on SmackDown. He also said, he “was bitter” that he wasn’t wrestling.

He explained that the company would book him every SmackDown for a few killer segments, but would ignore him when it comes to pay-per-views and stick to the part timers, which “stings a little bit” for him. Despite frustrations, it motivates him more and more, as his passion and momentum inside pushes him to do as long as his “wheels fall off”.
