WWE SmackDown (August 25, 2023): Matches, news, rumors, predicted matches, timings, telecast details

After completing the Canada tour, WWE SmackDown returns to the United States this week. The August 25, 2023 episode of WWE SmackDown will air live from KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. A number of matches and segments are scheduled for this week’s SmackDown, so here is our preview and prediction for the show.
Match Cards & Predictions
Ten-Bell Salute to Bray Wyatt
Bray Wyatt passed away earlier today in an unfortunate way at the age of 36. To honor his contributions and to honor him a ten-bell salute will be arranged at the beginning of the show with all the WWE Superstars standing on the entrance way and will be staying in silence for the ten bell count.
Rey Mysterio vs Grayson Waller
Last week on SmackDown, Grayson Waller pissed another veteran, Rey Mysterio on his talk show “Grayson Waller Effect” by claiming that he took the pot of young stars instead of passing the torch for the future generations. Which results in a match this week although it is a non-title match, the match might turn out to be an exciting contest.
As per speculations, Rey Mysterio might win the match, but Waller might try to brainwash Escobar to cause separation between the two.
Jimmy Uso shows up
Since Jey Uso left WWE two weeks ago, no members from the Bloodline showed up last week at Toronto except the Vice-man. Paul Heyman was involved in a backstage interview where he answered a phone call and revealed information from the source that Jimmy Uso will be on this week’s episode of SmackDown.
As per rumors, he might address the problems between The Usos and Jey’s departure.
IYO SKY vs Zelina Vega
IYO SKY is said to defend her WWE Women’s Championship for the first time against Zelina Vega. As the competition for the WWE Women’s Championship is increasing over and over, the contest might be interesting and could involve Asuka’s interference.
As per speculations, IYO SKY will beat Zelina Vega clean or might end in a no contest after Asuka’s involvement, as she is said to have a rematch at Payback.
