NXT is a secondary wrestling promotion of WWE, that was created in 2010 by rebranding WWE’s developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling. For the first three years, NXT was a television show with Rookies of FCW are said to perform weekly tasks involving mental and physical skills, under the mentorship of Pro’s (WWE Superstars).

The show went for 5 seasons until 2012, where NXT was rebranded as a wrestling brand equivalent to Raw to the main roster, where separate championships and pay-per-view was announced. The NXT Superstars were called for the main roster for a match, debut and as a part of the Draft. It became such a successful brand that it was once announced as the third major brand of the company. However, WWE pulled it back to be a secondary promotion of the company.

In 2021 after COVID19 Pandemic, the show was again rebranded with new logo and lightning, featuring multiple new talents and named NXT 2.0. After the change in dynamics, the show was moved from Wednesdays to Tuesdays.
