WWE star Dakota Kai provides an update on her Injury, return timeline

Dakota Kai is on of the most talented professional wrestlers in the current roster. She been in WWE since 2016 and had a five year long run in NXT, and made her main roster debut in 2021 with IYO SKY & Bayley. The trio dubbed themselves as Damage CTRL and made such a huge impact on the main roster that they became one of the most dominant Trio's in the women's division.
IYO and Dakota Kai became WWE Women's Tag Team Champions twice. They lost their tag team championship to Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan and it was announced that both Liv and Kai suffered injury during the match.
Dakota Kai suffered a torn ACL and Morgan suffered a shoulder injury. Since then Kai has been away from television until SummerSlam, where she came to celebrate IYO SKY's title win. She then started hanging with other members of Damage CTRL, but did not wrestle. At this stage, she came out with a medical update of her own.
Kai’s medical update and return
Dakota Kai in a recent Twitch steam spoke about an update on her injury and the possible return to the in-ring action.
Dakota Kai to the question “When will she wrestle again?” answered,
"Probably, 2024, actually,I do think it's funny that a lot of people are like, 'She's not injured at all, look at her walking around.' ACL injury, I haven't even learned how to jump and run again yet. I think I'm going to start running this week. ACL recovery, especially for someone that is in sport or something like that, where you use your legs a lot. if I was a desk worker or something like that, I would be back to work properly, like fully now, but because it's wrestling I won't be clear until January."
Kai later announced to her fans that it may look like a "long way" from now, when she will be competing in the ring again, but the time is actually going pretty fast, referring to how she already has her calendar up for 2024.
