Drew McIntyre addresses his WWE status & future plans

Drew McIntyre is one of the highly talented professional wrestlers in the current WWE roster. The Scottish Warrior played a major role in the upliftment of WWE during the COVID-19 pandemic era. He carried the company solely on his shoulders when no major stars appeared for the show due to travel restrictions. He had two WWE Championship reigns during the time and made the worst year into one of the greatest years for him.
After losing his championship and moving to SmackDown, his momentum was slowed as he was not given the right push for the championship spotlight. He had a loss against Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 39, there were a number of rumors that The Scottish Warrior might leave the company due to creative frustrations and lack of push by the WWE creative. In addition to that, Drew blacked his social media accounts. However, he proved the rumors wrong by returning to the company at Money in the Bank.
Drew currently is in Raw, but is directionless as he is on the tag team division and mid-card feud. With his current contract with WWE coming to an end by January 2024, Drew McIntyre addressed his status in a recent interview.
Drew McIntyre on his WWE Status
Drew McIntyre appeared on the Quinn & Cantara Morning Show, where Drew McIntyre was asked about his contract status with WWE and his future plans. To which McIntyre replied that he has no future plans as of now and is currently focused on the present.
McIntyre says,
"I focus on the now. I don't focus on the past, I don't focus on the future. I focus on the present. No, I don't plan to be anywhere else. That's as much as I can say right now." [h/t Fightful]
