WWE and LA Knight far apart in contract extension negotiations: Reports

LA Knight is currently on the rise of popularity and fame, with the increasing support from the WWE Universe. LA Knight was brought into the main roster as a manager of Maximum Male Models by the suggestion of Vince McMahon under the name of Max Dupree considering his age as a factor.
However after Triple H had the control over the creative, he brought him back as LA Knight as a wrestler. However, he caught the rhythm of fans earlier this year and gained loud chants and support wherever he goes.
His popularity has reached the peak, when he became the lead merchandise seller in the mid-year. Following his popularity, he started getting a push in his career and is now in the middle of his push. However, fans started following every move of the Megastar and are interested in knowing how long they can see him in WWE.
As per reports his current contract with WWE ends in 2025, however WWE has discussed with him for a contract extension and it seems like both are far apart from closing the deal.
LA Knight’s Contract Update
Fightful Select has reported that Knight and WWE are 'far apart on money' at present and as a result no deal has been made. The negotiations between them will again come to effect when Knight's contract comes close to expiring.
Another backstage report suggests that the ongoing push in SmackDown has nothing to do with contact extension negotiations. The unknown member also stated that more wrestler's contracts are getting expired by 2024 and they are still hitting pushes in Raw and SmackDown.
The report also states that LA Knight has still a year and a half left in his contract, so there is no reason to fear his contract this soon.
