LA Knight has been one of the top babyfaces of WWE SmackDown, who has been the latest sensation among WWE fans. He is subjected to loud cheer and increasing popularity in recent times. Which turned him from a jobber to a top babyface. Knight is currently in the initial push of his career, who is climbing the top of the ladder by registering some major wins.

He had a rematch against The Miz last week, where he defeated The Miz and ended his feud. After the match, he made a statement that he has eyes on all the champions in the company and is ready for championship opportunities.

When fans were excited to watch The Mega Star on the latest episode of SmackDown and know what's next for him, he didn’t show up on this week’s episode. As fans are wondering why LA Knight has not appeared on the show, a recent report reveals why Knight was not on the show.

Knight tested positive for COVID19

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful select reported that LA Knight tested positive for COVID 19 moments before SmackDown and got confirmed by WWE sources. He was supposed to be a part of the main event by teaming up with Cena, however he was asked to leave the building considering his illness.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com on X (Twitter) wrote,

“Fightful has confirmed with WWE sources and those to him that LA Knight tested positive for COVID just before WWE Smackdown, and had to leave the building. He was supposed to be involved in the main event segment. Wishing him a speedy recovery.”

On the following tweet, he revealed the actual plans of LA Knight tonight. Sean Ross Sapp wrote,

“Originally, LA Knight was listed as being involved in tonight's contract signing. Knight was listed as a surprise to help John Cena. He was also internally listed as teaming with Cena in a dark match following the show. We're told this was not a Vince McMahon change, it was medical related.”

We wish The Mega Star a speedy recovery and we’re looking to see Knight return to the ring soon.
