WWE NXT Results & Winners (September 12, 2023): Becky Lynch wins NXT Women's Championship

Becky wins NXT Women's Championship, Ilja Dragunav defeats Wes Lee, Borne turns on Jenson, Valkyria over powers Dana Brooke and More!

NXT Summary

#1 Contenders Match- Ilja Dragunav vs Wes Lee

NXT kicks out with the #1 Contenders match for the NXT Champion between Wes Lee and Ilja Dragunav. Lee has the first hand as he went through Dragunav straight away. Dragunav fought back for the initial control, however Lee with a stomp to the back of the neck. Dragunav with a vicious Chop of Wes Lee's Chest and goes for a couple of Suplex. Lee countered the third and hit him with a over head kick to send Dragunav out. Lee then went for a couple of Suicide Dive as Dragunav caught the third one and hit him with a Suplex through the commentary table landing Lee neck first.

After the commercial, Dragunav with rapid chops on the heart of Wes Lee. He measures for a powerbomb, but Wes Lee with a Roll up. Both exchange blows, however Wes Lee with the lead. Dragunav with a kick, Wes Lee with another and a stomp to the chest slows down Dragunav.

Both goes, blow for blow. As Wes Lee looks for Kardiak Kick, but Dragunav caught him on the shoulder. Although Lee hit him with a Tornado DDT. Lee went flying through the ropes on Dragunav. While tried to enter the ring, Dragunav hit a Superplex and a couple of Fore arm on the jaw and back of the head for the win.

Borne, Brinks & Jenson vs Kemp, Dempsey & Gulak

Borne, Brinks and Jenson went for a fight against Kemp, Dempsey and Gulak. Both the team started the brawl and took the fight outside the ring. When Jenson tried to enter the ring, Borne turned on Jenson by hitting his face on the ring post to help Kemp pick up the win. He then joins Kemp, Dempsey and Gulak and celebrated the victory.

Winner: Kemp, Dempsey and Gulak Ratings: 2/5

Dana Brooke vs Lyra Valkyria

Both Brooke and Valkyria showcased their athleticism and countered each others move. Valkyria had the first shot with a round house kick and a suicide dive. While she went for the top rope for a splash, Brooke pulled her legs off and making her land on back of the head. Dana had a brief control, however Lyra fought back and hit her with a slam and a kick to the back of the head. Lyra delivered a spinning kick and a Splash from top of the ropes for the win.

After the match, Lyra offered a hand shake to Dana Brooke. After which Brooke tried to attack Lyra but Kelani stopped her.

Group A: NXT Global Heritage Cup Invitational- Tyler Bate vs Axiom

Both Tyler Bate and Axiom tackled each others move and went to cover each other right away. Bate sent Axiom out, as Axiom came firing back, sent Bate out and went for a Moonsault and a cross body. Tyler Bate took Axiom on the shoulder and takes him to a long spin.

After the commercial, Axiom with a Superplex from the top rope. Dragunav looks to powerbomb but Axiom hit him with a kick to the head. Axiom and Bate went falling with a Spanish fly. Bate tries to attack Axiom, but he locks him with a rear choke, poison drop and a Brainburster. Axiom went for another Spanish Fly and a Armbar. But, Bate delivered a Tyler Driver for the win.

Winner: Tyler Bate Ratings: 4/5

Creed Brothers vs Malik Blade & Edris Enofe

Another Squash match of the evening. Blade and Julius Creed started the match as Enofe tagged in and they had the initial control with back to back tags and attacking behind referee's vision. However the Creed Brothers controlled the major part of the match by Suplex, Backdrop and Clothesline. Which led Creed Brothers secure a win against them. Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo, The Family had their eyes on their victory.

Winner: Creed Brothers Ratings: 3/5

Group B: NXT Global Heritage Cup Invitational- Nathan Frazer vs Akira Tozawa

Nathan Frazer and Akira Tozawa tackled each other moves, however Frazer with a running Kick as his speed came into play. Tozawa went for a Running Kick and a Suicide Dive to get the brief control. As Tozawa went for the top, Frazer hit him with a Superplex and his finishing Maneuver for the win.

Winner: Nathan Frazer Ratings: 2.5/5

NXT Women's Championship

Shoulders locked as Tiff took initial control of the match and claimed that she is the dominant woman in NXT. After the commercial, Becky took control of the match with a corner splash, exploder suplex and a top rope missile kick. Stratton with a sit down popup powerbomb.

Both took the fight to the ropes as Tiff pushed Becky down and hit her with a stretched Swanton bomb. Becky locked Tiff with an Armbar as Tiff lifter on the shoulder for a Powerbomb. However Becky roll down and went for the cover, but Tiff kicked out. Tiff hit a running stomp to the chest of Lynch.

Lynch fought back with a Backdrop from the middle rope. Stratton rolled out of the ring as Becky went chasing her. Stratton pushed Lynch to the stairs and clears the table. Stratton tried to Powerbomb Becky though the table, but Becky escapes and lays Tiff down to deliver a leg drop.

As Both took the fight back to the ring, Becky went for the Disarmer straight away, but Tiff countered with a Powerbomb, but was not enough to win. Becky tried to Manhandle Slam, but Tiff counters and went for the top rope. He went for the Moon Sault but nobody holds as Becky moves out and hit her with a Manhandle Slam for the win.

NXT Results

Ilja Dragunav (W) defeated Wes Lee to become the #1 Contender for the NXT Championship.

Kemp, Dempsey & Gulak (W) defeated Borne, Brinks & Jenson by Pinfall.

Lyra Valkyria (W) defeated Dana Brooke.

Tyler Bate (W) defeated Axiom by Pinfall to move up in the points table.

Creed Brothers (W) defeated Malik Blade & Edris Enofe by Pinfall.

Nathan Frazer (W) defeated Akira Tozawa by Pinfall to move up in the points table.

Becky Lynch (W) defeated Tiffany Stratton to become the New NXT Women's Champion.
