Rick Boogs says WWE released him because of 'Backstage political powerplay'

Eric Bugenhagen is an American Professional Wrestler, who has worked for WWE from 2017 to 2323 under the ring name Rick Boogs. He wrestled in NXT until 2021, with frequent off from television due to back to back injuries.
However he managed to make his way into the main roster in 2021 and worked with Shinsuke Nakamura, by playing his music and accompanying him to the ring with electric guitar. He made his in-ring debut on the main roster by teaming up with Nakamura and even challenged The Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 38.
Where he tore his quadriceps tendon and underwent surgery. He returned to the television after nine months of absence and had an impromptu match against The Miz and won. After which he was seen on a couple of backstage segments with Elias and was written off from television.
On the recent WWE layoff, it was informed that Rick Boogs was released from WWE along with 20 other WWE superstars. Boogs has now opened about the potential reason behind his release from WWE.

Rick Boogs on his youtube channel “Eric Bugenhagen” released a video about a Quick Life Update, where he said that he is currently in the important phase of his life and his termination from WWE.
Rick Boogs says,
"It’s been an interesting time in my life with my job in WWE being terminated due to a backstage political power play, at least that’s my opinion of it. But now is not the time to talk about that. I will get into detail about that when the time is right."
Boogs didn't gave any detail explanation on what these backstage political issue is and who allegedly influenced on his release.
