Roman Reigns’ next WWE title defense date revealed

Roman Reigns is one of the most dominant and successful WWE Superstar, who has been dominating the men’s division for more than three years. He won the Universal Championship at 2020 Payback and still couldn’t be dethroned from the championship reign. He unified the WWE Championship with the Universal Championship and made it Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and surpassed 1,100 days as champion.
Reigns last defended his championship against his cousin Jey Uso at SummerSlam 2023 in a Tribal Combat Match, where Reigns retained his championship with the help of Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. It was reported that Roman Reigns suffered a back injury, however he appeared on the following week’s SmackDown. Since then Roman Reigns has been absent from television and nowhere to be seen. As Roman Reigns’ return was revealed earlier this week, his next championship defense is also revealed.
Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn
As previously reported, Reigns will make his return to television on October 13. 2023 episode of SmackDown at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He will be defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Sami Zayn the next day (October 14, 2023) in a WWE House Show at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.
Wrestling Ops on X (Twitter) reported the information
“Roman Reigns has been announced for the October 14th WWE House Show at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. Reigns is advertised to defend the Undisputed Universal Championship against Sami Zayn”
Roman Reignsupcoming appearances
Reigns is also advertised for the October 27, 2023 episode of SmackDown at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is also expected to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Champion on the line at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 4.
As per schedule, Reigns and John Cena will be on the same show for a couple of episodes until Cena’s schedule comes to an end on October 27. As Cena been involved in a feud with Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline, it would be interesting to see Roman Reigns and John Cena share the ring once again.
Could we be able to see Reigns vs Cena once again? We just need to wait and watch.
