Why did WWE put NXT titles on Becky Lynch & Dominik Mysterio?

Dominik Mysterio has been the NXT North American Champion since July by dethroning Wes Lee with the help of The Judgment Day. A week ago, Becky Lynch became the NXT Women's Champion by defeating Tiffany Stratton, which made a huge viewership interest on the show.

Other than them, there are a lot of main event stars who have been appearing on the NXT on a regular basis including Baron Corbin, Rhea Ripley, Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar, Mustafa Ali, and so on. Which certainly helped the brand to pick up viewership numbers. Considering the situation, the popular wrestling writer Vince Russo reported the reason behind the involvement of stars in the main roster and why they are made champions.

On Sportskeeda's Writing with Russo, the popular wrestling writer Vince Russo explained why there are so many main roster talents involved in NXT. He said that it is one of the ways where the company is trying to prove that NXT is a worthy brand like WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown to its new owners.

Vince Russo says,

"Bro, you gotta remember, they just put a title on Dominik. They just put another title on a WWE person [Becky Lynch]. Bro, this has been done twice in the last month. So that either tells me that they are either trying to save NXT or trying to prove NXT is worth to Endeavor. Bro, but at the end of the line, if there's a part of the company that's not making money, they are gonna get cut by Endeavor."

NXT is one of the most successful secondary brands of WWE and has once became the third main brand of the company. It is undeniable that it has produced some of the highly successful starts for the wrestling industry. However after the company's share was sold to Endeavour, there are high chances that the brand might get disbanded due to budget cuts.
