Current NXT Champion suffers an injury at No Mercy
Becky Lynch won the NXT Women’s Championship from Tiffany Stratton in the mid-september to become the sixth Women’s Grand Slam Champion. She defended her championship against Stratton in a rematch at NXT No Mercy in a Extreme Rules Match earlier today. Becky retained the title after a hard fight involving weapons. However it was reported that Becky suffers an injury and requires multiple stitches.
Becky Lynch Injury at No Mercy
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful. Com reported on X (Twitter) that Becky Lynch has been suffering from a laceration on her arm got about 11 stitches to close up, following her Extreme Rules NXT Championship match at NXT No Mercy. It was also added that Becky Lynch appears to be fine.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com in X,
“Becky Lynch got about 11 stitches after tonight’s NXT No Mercy title match, Fightful Select has learned. A gutsy performance”
Following a great title defense at NXT No Mercy, Becky Lynch will be defending her NXT Women’s Championship against Tegan Nox on the upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw. This marks two title defenses in three days for The Man, proving her the real fighting champion.
Becky Lynch has held all the championship in Women’s division in the company, however Tegan Nox is yet to win a championship title. This is a career defining match for Nox, where a title win against one of the greatest female wrestlers could make her straight to the top card.
Becky already spoke about being a fighting champion and defending her title against the one who didn’t got a title shot yet.
Becky while speaking to New York Post,
“Currently, we are a little light on women with credibility on Raw. So anyway I can give these women, who are great, credibility, give them a match, give them an outing and showcase them in a championship match, I think that only benefits everybody.”
Will Lynch’s injury be an advantage to Nox to pull a major title win? Or will Becky retain despite injury. We need to wait until the October 2 episode of Raw.
