John Cena confirms that he is not leaving WWE

WWE announced that John Cena will be returning to WWE in September for an appearance and to wrestle in India for the very first time at WWE Superstar Spectacle. Surprisingly, Cena’s schedule was extended and it was announced that Cena would appear on SmackDown for seven weeks straight.
John Cena then appeared on SmackDown and announced that he will be hosting Payback 2023 for the first time. At Payback, Cena did various roles as a host, special guest referee, backstage interviewer and so on. The following week, the 16 time champ traveled India and had a match with Imperium by teaming up with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, marking his first match in India.
During Cena’s regular schedule, he picked up a feud with The Bloodline and featured in a tag team match by teaming up with LA Knight and defeated Solo Sikoa & Jimmy Uso at Fastlane. At the post-event media scrum, Cena hinted that he will be leaving WWE once the Hollywood strike comes to an end. Triple H also requested the WWE Universe to celebrate his appearance as there is no confirmation of when he will be back or this might be his last.
Cena on the latest episode of SmackDown came out with some harsh facts, that he hasn’t won a match in the last three years and he thinks that it is his time to retire. Where the WWE Universe refused to accept and chanted that he “still got it” to change his decision. Although it was rumored that Cena might be leaving the company soon after his current schedule comes to an end. At this stage Cena confirms his status with WWE.
John Cena’s WWE status
John Cena on his Instagram post made it clear that he has no intention to leave the company anytime soon, by guaranteeing his stay to the WWE Universe. Cena posted a picture from “Wolf of Wall Street”. The picture where DiCaprio says “I’m not leaving”.
This hints that Cena is not leaving WWE anytime soon and will remain in the company for as long as possible. Additionally beyond his current schedule, which ends in October, Cena is featured in the poster of Crown Jewel, which is held on November 4, 2023 in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. He might potentially be facing the enforcer of The Bloodline Solo Sikoa there.
