Randy Orton to return as a heel and confront Jey Uso at WWE Fastlane 2023: Report
Randy Orton got injured last year during the Tag Team Championship unification match. He underwent back fusion surgery & was announced that his career was at great risk, as doctor’s advised not to get back into the ring again. However, Orton recovered from injury and started his training to get back in shape.
Last month, Orton was spotted at WWE Performance Center and was speculated to return very soon. Earlier this week, Xero News reported that WWE have started scripting the creative for Randy Orton’s return to the company. At this stage his return plan has been revealed.
Orton as heel
According to latest reports, if Randy Orton shows up at Fastlane, he would be returning as a heel and might confront "Main Event" Jey Uso. Orton had his last match before his injury against the Usos and he has some unfinished business with The Bloodline and especially against The Usos. They took his tag team gold and they were involved during Orton's injury.
Although Jey Uso has changed a lot after leaving The Bloodline and became a babyface, the victims of him in the past still didn't believe Jey as a complete baby face. Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre doubted his change and didn't believe in him completely.
Orton might be one among them to misunderstand Jey and could showcase a brutal assault on him. This could make Orton a huge heel in the Raw roster and could bring the Vintage "Viper" back. Eventually it would also help Jey to portray him as a great babyface.
Although his return date has not been confirmed, this backstage report could boost the expectations on Orton's comeback. How excited are you to see the Apex Predator back in action? Do you think Orton will return at Fastlane? Share your thoughts in the comments.
