October 16, 2023 is the Season Premiere episode of WWE RAW, which is scheduled to be aired live from Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. WWE has booked some of the pay-per-view worthy matches for the show including two championship defenses, one special stipulation match and much more. Here is a detailed preview, prediction, timings and telecast details of this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

Preview on the Match card and Predictions

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match- Gunther (C) vs. Bronson Reed

“The RIng General” Gunther will defend his Intercontinental Championship against the #1 Contender Bronson Reed in a singles match. Gunther became the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion by breaking The Honky Donk Man’s record of 454 days. Gunther has a clear upperhand for the match with great experience and dominant records. On the other hand Bronson Reed is one of the dominant forces, who has been dominating the midcard and the previous #1 Contender’s.

As per speculations, Gunther will retain his Intercontinental Championship by defeating Bronson Reed clean.

Falls Count Anywhere Match- Shinsuke Nakamura vs Ricochet

Ricochet and Shinsuke Nakamura have been in a feud since before Money in the Bank. Nakamura moved on with the World Heavyweight Championship pursuits and Ricochet went for a feud with Logan Paul. However Ricochet re-initiated the feud by coming to the aid of Rollins and got assaulted by Nakamura.

Ricochet and Nakamura went for a brawl week after week, where WWE official (now Raw GM) Adam Pearce booked a Falls Count Anywhere Match between them this week. As per speculations, Nakamura will defeat Ricochet after a big brawl involving weapons.

Shayna Baszler vs. Rhea Ripley

Nia Jax assaulted some of the top wrestlers in the Raw Women's division including Rhea Ripley, Raquel Rodriguez, Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark and others. For the last two weeks, the victims of Nia Jax have been involved in a huge brawl. Last week, Jax and Rodriguez had a match, where Rhea interfered and attacked Jax, following which Baszler interfered and attacked both Jax and Ripley, which made Ripley ask for a match this week.

As per speculations, the match would end in a no contest following a number of interferences and a big brawl.

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Match- Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso (C) vs. Judgment Day

Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso won the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship from Finn Balor & Damien Priest of the Judgment Day at Fastlane. Judgment Day will have a rematch to regain the championship this week. This will be the third title defense in two weeks for Cody & Jey as they already defended it on Raw and SmackDown last week. As per speculations, Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso will successfully defend their tag titles either by a clean win or by disqualification.
