WWE Raw Results & Winners (October 9, 2023): Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso defeated Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn to retain the championships
New challengers for World Heavyweight & Intercontinental Championship, Owens & Zayn fought Cody & Jey, McIntyre spoiled cash-in, Becky retains and much more!
The October 9, 2023 episode of WWE Raw is officially over. The episode is filled with multiple new feuds and storylines, which makes it one of the much see episodes. WWE Raw Summary
Drew McIntyre confronted Seth "Freakin" Rollins
Seth Rollins kicked of the Monday Night Raw and addressed the WWE Universe. He talked about the match at Fastlane and feels his back is more broken, but he'll still continue as the champion. Drew McIntyre confronted Rollins. Drew wants the World Heavyweight Championship title shot. But he wanted Rollins 100% at Crown Jewel. Seth Rollins accepts and gave the title shot at Crown Jewel. Yes, Drew McIntyre vs Seth Rollins for the "World Heavyweight Championship" in Saudi Arabia.

Damien Priest attacked Rollins
As Drew walked away, Damien Priest came out of nowhere and attacked Seth Rollins from the back. He delivered a chokeslam on him and called out Dominik Mysterio. Dom came with the briefcase but Drew stopped him, hit a headbutt and threw the Money in the Bank briefcase away.

Viking Rules Match- Ivar vs Kofi Kingston
Ivar kicked Kofi right on the face to start the match. Kofi hit a Cross Body from the top rope and a Suicide Dive out of the ring. Ivar threw Kofi over the Viking shield. Kofi delivered a flying splash. He introduced the Table and laid it as a bridge, but Ivar took him out with a Splash on the apron. Kofi jumped from the apron and took Ivar down.
After commercial, Kofi used the Viking flag and drops a Neck Breaker from the middle rope. He sends Ivar threw Viking Shield and broke one. Kodi delivers a SOS, Ivar with a Spinning Slam. Ivar delivered a powerbomb, but it wasn't not enough. Ivar hit a Spinning kick & climbs the top rope. But Kofi grabs his beard and threw him over the table outside the ring, broke it.
Valhalla jumps over Kofi, Woods took Valhalla away, Ivar hits a Splash on Woods. Kofi measures for a Trouble in Paradise, but Ivar slam Kofi through the table and delivers a Moonsault for the win.
Winner: Ivar Ratings: 3.5/5
Backstage
Shinsuke Nakamura was interviewed backstage, where he was asked about his loss and what's next, but he didn't spell a word. Ricochet came from somewhere and attacked Nakamura and had a quick brawl, but the officials stopped him.
Damien Priest lifted McDonagh with a choke on the wall. Where, other members of the Judgment Day stopped him. Rhea said that they have a rematch for the tag team titles next week and warned McDonagh. She asked McDonagh to prove himself by battling McIntyre tonight or walk out.
Raquel Rodriguez vs Nia Jax
Nia jumped on Raquel straight away and blew her head to the floor. Raquel fights back, but Nia sent her shoulder first to the ring post and to the barricade. After the commercial, Jax locks Raquel in the waist lock.
Raquel hit her with a big boot and tries to lift her, but not enough. Nia knocked her down and went for the middle rope, but Raquel Power-bombed her.
Rhea Ripley interfered and attacked Raquel & Nia. Shayna Baszler joins the party and attacked Nia & Rhea. Shayna took all and stand tall.
Results: No Contest Ratings: 3/5
Backstage
Rollins met McIntyre backstage and said that he made the Championship match official for Crown Jewel. Rollins also said Drew not to worry about him & Judgment Day, as the Judgment Day would not be able to take the title away from him and so does Drew.
Shayna Baszler is interviewed backstage, where she said that she cares about no body as long as she is in the ring. She is the baddest women there.
Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens confront Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso
Michael Cole introduced Jey & Cody for an interview. Jey said that he is a two time Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion now and it is all because of Cody. Cole asked how it would help him finishing the story?Cody got emotional, but Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens interfered them.
They came to wish them, but Zayn felt like they should be holding the titles. Owens made it clear saying that he is not happy about them winning the title and he wanted it back. Zayn and Owens then challenged Rhodes & Uso. Kevin Owens said that Jey won't accept the challenge, as he is not ready to lose to them once again. Cody accepted the challenge and they are ready to defend the titles the same night.

#1 Contender's Match for Intercontinental Championship
Ricochet, Bronson Reed and Chad Gable fought in a triple threat match. When Ricochet was making his way to the ring, Nakamura attacked him from behind. He tried to hit him with a Kinshasa, but the officials separated them.
As the match started, Gable & Ricochet went after Bronson Reed, but Reed sent both down. Reed hit Ricochet with a splash, but both fought back. Reed threw both out and tried to jump on Ricochet, but he delivered a Drop kick. Gable delivered a overhead throw to Ricochet over Reed outside the ring as commercial took the screen.
Bronson Reed lifted both on the shoulder and delivered a Samoan Drop. Gable and Ricochet fight each other, and Reed joined them. Gable delivered a suplex on Reed, and he scrolled out, Ricochet delivered a Suicide dive on him. Gable hit a suplex on Ricochet, as Reed threw Ricochet on Gable on the series and hit them with a Tsunami from the top rope for the win.
Winner: Bronson Reed Ratings: 3.5/5
Drew McIntyre vs JD McDonagh
McDonagh hit a couple of chops on Drew. He scrolls down, as McIntyre chased him and took him down. Dominik Mysterio distracted McIntyre and McDonagh took it as an advantage and attacked Drew. However, McIntyre delivered a Claymore on McDonagh for the win.
Damien Priest watched the match on the monitor backstage where Rhea called him to discuss a plan for cash-in.

Imperium attack DIY
Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano interviewed backstage by Wade Barrett earlier the same day. They said that they always thought of bringing DIY to the main roster. While talking about an official reunion, Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci attacked them and took both down.
NXT Women's Championship Match
Both Becky Lynch & Tegan Nox counters each other's move and went for back to back cover. Nox drags Becky face first on all the four sides of the turnbuckle. Lynch fights back and kicks Nox out of the ring and hit her with a baseball slide. Nox moved when Becky tried to hit a jumping clothesline and dives on Lynch.
After conmeecial, Lynch took Nox with a flying strike and exploder suplex. Nox hit her with a Cross Body from top rope. Lynch went for a Arm bar, but Nox pulled her towards the ropes.
Nox hung Becky upside down and hit her with a Cannon ball. Nox tried for Armbar, but Lynch escaped and hit her with a kick. Becky Lynch then applied a Disarmer for the win to retain the championship.
Winner: Becky Lynch Ratings: 3/5
Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship
Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes started the match. Things heated up between them already as all entered the ring. After the commercial, Jey Uso tagged in and battled with Sami Zayn. Kevin Owens tags in and hit back to back blows on each other. They took the fight outside the ring, as Sami and Cody joined the fight. All the four brawl outside the ring, near the commentary desk.
After the commercial, Kevin Owens was in control of Jey, with headlock and senton. He mocks Jey and went for the top rope. But Jey stopped him with a overhead kick. KO however pushed him down and delivered a Swanton bomb. Owens went for a pop-up powerbomb, but Jey super-kicked KO, KO super-kicked him back and Jey hit a couple of super kick. KO however hit a Clothesline and both get laid. Cody and Sami tagged in and both fired up, Cody delivered a Cody Cutter, Sami delivered a Blue thunder bomb.
Sami delivered an exploder suplex, and measured for a Helluva kick, but Cody delivered a Cross Rhodes and Owens stopped the pinfall. Cody looks for a Pedigree, but Sami hit him with a overhead throw and both tagged others. Owens delivered a couple of Superkick on Jey and Jey hit one on Owens. Jey went for the top rope, but Owens moved and hit a stunner on Jey and Cody break the pin.
Sami Zayn went for a suicide dive on both Rhodes and Jey. Owens took Jey in and went for a swanton bomb, but Jey had his knees up. Jey with a superkick on Owens. Cody with a Cross Rhodes on Sami. Jey and Cody delivered a double super kick on Owens and hit a One D- Cody Cutter for the win to retain the titles.
After the match, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn had a hand shake Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso and hugged each other to end the show.
