WWE SmackDown Results & Winners (October 27, 2023): LA Knight makes a statement to Roman Reigns

LA Knight & Reigns signed the contract, Knight hit a BFT on Roman, Cena vs Solo Sikoa & Belair vs IYO booked for Crown Jewel, Logan attacks Rey, and more!

The October 27, 2023 episode of SmackDown is one of the must see episode of SmackDown filled with some of the satisfying segments and matches. It confirms two important matches and a championship contract signing. Know what happened on this week's episode of SmackDown as we came out with the complete summary of the show along with results, winners list and ratings for the matches and segments.

WWE SmackDown Summary

Contract signing- Roman Reigns vs LA Knight

"The Tribal Chief" Roman Reigns kicked-off the Friday Night SmackDown with Paul Heyman. Before his entrance is complete LA Knight music was played and Knight made his way to the ring before Reigns. Knight sat on Roman Reigns' chair and states that he doesn't have time for formalities and slow entrances.

Knight read the contract and signed it. He offers it to Roman, but he took the mic instead of it. Calls Knight an idiot, stupid and asked him if he ever had a contract signing or championship match before. Roman promised that he will be soft with him and go real gentle with him. As Reigns signed the contract, SmackDown General manager Nick Aldis left. Knight then claimed that he is "The Head of the Table" and asked Roman to "Acknowledge" him.

Knight accepted that it is his first time, but it is too quick to reach this height and promised that one chance is enough to take the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship from Roman Reigns. Roman flips the table on Knight and laid him down, and introduced a table to threw him over it.  Knight fought back by locking Roman to the corner. Jimmy Uso however came to the aid of Reigns and attacked Knight. Knight threw Jimmy and broke the table with a Backdrop.

LWO (Carlito & Santos Escobar) vs Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford)

Dawkins and Escobar started the match, where Dawkins went for the shoulder tackle and Escobar hit a drop kick. Escobar tagged Carlito in as Dawkins went for rapid strikes on him. Carlito took both down and delivered a dive over the top rope.

After the commercial, Ford took control of Escobar by locking his head, kicking him to the chest, and hit him with a standing frog splash. Ford controlled Escobar with a clutch, Escobar fights back, but Ford hit him with a powerful Clothesline. Dawkins tagged in, Escobar hit a powerful knee strike and tagged Carlito in. Ford tagged in and both fight each other off. Carlito delivered a neck breaker and tags Escobar. 

While the LWO were in control, Rey got attacked by Logan Paul backstage, which made Carlito rush to the backstage leaving Escobar alone. Escobar fought his best, but the two on one advantage made Street Profits took control. Dawkins and Ford delivered "Revolation" for the win.

Backstage [The Bloodline]

Paul Heyman talked about presenting LA Knight a custom made Football Championship as he is only apt for that. Jimmy Uso laid on the couch, after the attack from Knight. Roman asked Heyman to book a match between Jimmy & LA Knight tonight. Heyman went to make the match confirmed. Jimmy said YEET! to Roman but he didn't like the word.

Backstage [Logan Paul, Kevin Owens, Austin Theory & Grayson Waller]

Logan Paul was on the backstage, interviewed about his attack on Rey. As he walks through, he had a quick face off with Kevin Owens. Austin Theory & Grayson Waller yelled Owens and mocked him for being here. Owens told that he will punch both of them down and knocked them in a single punch.

Shotzi Blackheart vs Chelsea Green

They had a backstage argument on Shotzi hosting NXT Halloween Havoc Week 1. Green and Piper Niven mocks her, where Shotzi challenged Green for a match and Aldis made it official.

Green wasted no time as she straight away took the upper-hand with a big boot and blew her head to the turnbuckle. Shotzi fought back, but Chelsea countered her move and hit her with a back breaker from the middle rope. Shotzi took Green to the top rope, but Green dropped her and hit a missile drop kick from the top rope. As Green went for a pinfall, but Shotzi turned her shoulder down for a quick pinfall victory.

Winner: Shotzi Blackheart Ratings: 2.5/5

John Cena

John Cena made his way to the ring and said that he felt a special energy in the building tonight. Cena's energy is different as he is series than never before. Cena said that he and WWE Universe have this connect for more than 20 years. Now, he fears losing the respect he earned by the WWE Universe as he never won a match in more than 2000 days. Cena wants the same support of WWE Universe, for that all he have to do is to win Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel.

Paul Heyman interfered Cena and said that he is here without hustle, royalty but assures respect to Cena. Heyman offered an handshake to Cena and had it. He praised Cena for carrying the sold out crowd for 21 years, but all it started was when Heyman picked Cena as the first pic of the Draft for SmackDown 21 years before. He said that when Roman defeated him, Cena lost it all.

Heyman said that he could still be here, but without messing with the Bloodline, but he messed up. Heyman said that he can't beat Solo Sikoa as he could Samoan Spike Cena down. While Heyman drops spoiler, Solo attacked Cena from the back, delivers him with a Spinning Solo and hit him with a Samoan Spike.

Ratings: 4/5

Dragon Lee vs Cedric Alexander

Both showcase their athletic countering skills, as Cedrick twists Lee's hand and hit him with a shoulder throw. Cedric and Lee exchanged chops and took the fight to the apron. Where Dragon Lee hit a knee to the jaw and Cedric Alexander delivered a slam to Lee as both laid down out of the ring.

After the commercial, both exchanged hands, Lee hit a knee to the jaw and Alexander hits a powerslam. Both took the fight to the top rope, as Dragon Lee delivers a stomp to the chest. Dragon Lee delivers a Powerbomb, but not enough for the win. Lee hit a knee to the spine of Alexander and hit a reverse DDT (Ultimo Dragon's finisher) for the win.

Winner: Dragon Lee Ratings: 3.5/5

Bianca Belair

"The EST" Bianca Belair came to the ring for an announcement, which Damage CTRL spectated through the monitor from the backstage. Bianca Belair said that she is happy to be back on SmackDown after a long time. She states that Bayley & IYO SKY's attack backstage was the reason that she took a long break for the very first time.

Belair said that she is looking for vengeance, and that what made her to train and get back to the ring. Bianca Belair announces that she will be facing IYO SKY for the WWE Women's Championship at Crown Jewel and Bayley next week on SmackDown.

LA Knight vs Jimmy Uso

Jimmy Uso has the initial strike with a shoulder tackle. LA Knight turned the momentum with a back of the elbow strike, takedown and a springboard backbreaker. Jimmy Uso took the fight to the apron and hit him with a vertical-suplex over it.

After the commercial, Jimmy Uso took Knight down with an Uppercut and pushed him to the corner to deliver punches to the face and hit with a Samoan Splash. Jimmy looks for second, but Knight hit him with a Clothesline.

Both exhchange hands, Jimmy sent Knight shoulder first to the turnbuckle. Jimmy chops Knight's chest. Knight fights back and hit a reverse DDT, Neck Breaker, and DDT but not enough to pick the win.

Jimmy scrolled out, but Knight chased him to blew his head to the commentary table. While both enter the ring, Jimmy Uso delivered a Samoan Drop and went top rope. Knight tried to stop him, but Jimmy pushed him down and hit a Uso Splash. Jimmy again went to the top rope again, but this time Knight stopped him, and delivered a Vertical Super-plex and BFT for the win.

While Knight went for the celebration, Roman Reigns came to spear LA Knight, but Knight moved and hit face first to the turnbuckle. Knight delivered a BFT as the crowd goes crazy. He stood tall making a strong statement to Roman Reigns.
