WWE to make Crown Jewel 2023 PPV bigger than ever
The 2023 Crown Jewel is the upcoming premium live event of WWE, which will be held on November 4, 2023 at Mohammed Abdu Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is the fifth Crown Jewel pay-per-view to be held in Saudi Arabia and second to be held in the same venue. This event marks the tenth event to be held in Saudi Arabia and second to be held this year.
This event also marks the first international event of the company after the TKO Group merger. Since being the first international event following the merger, WWE is planning something big for the Crown Jewel PLE. Here are some of the things that WWE is doing to make it a huge event in Saudi Arabia.
WrestleMania standard triple main event
WWE has booked three main event matches for Saudi Arabia, where Roman Reigns will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against LA Knight, Seth Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre, Rhea Ripley will defend her Women’s World Championship against Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, Raquel Rodriguez in a Fatal 5-Way Match.
This is the first time that these three world championships are being defended on the same night. The WrestleMania standard main event raises the stakes for the show and makes it one of the grandest events after SummerSlam.
Seating capacity increased
According to BWE’s reports, WWE are planning to increase the seating capacity for the event, as the Crown Jewel ticket bookings are already sold out completely within a few days. Considering the demand for tickets for the show, WWE are looking to increase the seats for the 2023 Crown Jewel.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s appearance at Crown Jewel
It was previously reported that WWE is planning to bring the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo to be involved in the show. Earlier this year, when WWE hosted Elimination Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo was teased to make an appearance, however this might happen this time.
WWE Theme Park
It was reported earlier that WWE not only will host the Crown Jewel but also a theme park ride and an Undertaker-themed walk-through to make it a complete experience for the WWE Universe in Saudi Arabia.
It seems like WWE is treating the Crown Jewel 2023 event like a WrestleMania kind of a pay-per-view this year. How do you see WWE's approach to book successful Premium Live Events after Triple H takeover? Share your opinion in the comments.
