CM Punk continues to tease WWE fans amid return speculations

Ever since CM Punk got released from AEW, there have been rumors around the wrestling industry that Punk will make his return to WWE. His close circle reported that Punk already had a pursuit to return to WWE, when he was suspended by AEW in 2022. There was a scrap plan of Punk returning to WWE for Royal Rumble and headlining WrestleMania Day 1 facing Kevin Owens, but it didn’t happen. Punk was also reported to be backstage during Raw and was said to leave the arena after talks in the past.
It was previously reported that CM Punk was in talks with WWE officials and was immediately regretted by the sources. Backstage rumors speculated that Punk would likely return to WWE at Survivor Series which was in his hometown Chicago, Illinois, but there aren’t any positive updates from the company. CM Punk however kept teasing the fans of returning to WWE by not letting the return rumors to halt. With one week for Survivor Series from Saturday, CM Punk has teased yet another tease of his return.
CM Punk teased fans once again
Earlier this month Punk mocked his return speculations by posting a story on Instagram stating that he is in a meeting with two higher officials of WWE, after it was found false. Punk is back with another banger on his Instagram story, where he added a story with WWE’s official Survivor Series theme song ‘War Pigs’ by Faith No More.
Following which CM Punk updated an old WWE promo of himself, where he states himself as The Devil. Although there isn’t any connection between the two stories, we were able to see a lot of devil’s references in WWE in recent times. As Punk’s return didn’t have any positive update, it seems like Punk is having a lot of fun with his fans.
CM Punk previously gave an interview to 670 The Score, where Punk was directly asked about his appearance at Survivor Series next month, to which Punk answered that he doesn’t want to enter into anyone’s bubble as he looks to spend his time with his dog Larry, as he suffers ACL injury.
Do you think Punk’s tease would result in a WWE return at Survivor Series War Games 2023?
