CM Punk’s theme gets revamped ahead of WWE Survivor Series 2023
CM Punk’s WWE return is the most hottest topic on the internet since his AEW departure in August 2023 after disciplinary issues. There have been a number of rumors since then and various sources reported that both WWE and CM Punk were in talks and Punk tried to return to WWE earlier this year but the plans were scrapped.
As Survivor Series is held in Chicago, Illinois which is the hometown of Punk, fans speculate that he would return at Survivor Series. There is no such confirmation from the company regarding bringing Punk back to WWE, however the talks never settled and everything seems like a return tease. WWE used various references of Punk in recent times and Punk made fun of the speculation and rumors on the internet through his social media handles and never let the talks and rumors settle.
CM Punk’s “Cult of Personality”
With less than one day from Survivor Series in his hometown Chicago, Illinois, CM Punk’s ‘Cult of Personality’ entrance theme has got a revamped version. It is well known that CM Punk has been using the “Cult of Personality” as his entrance theme for over a decade. He used it in AEW and continued his stint there, without any changes. Now the Living Colour have brought a freshly remastered version of the song in the weekend of Survivor Series.
CM Punk shared the screenshot of the remastered version of ‘Cult of Personality’ theme in his Instagram story. This went viral on the internet like adding fuel to the fire and fans with high anticipation believe that Punk might return to the WWE ring.
WWE recently updated the Alumni roster page of CM Punk after almost nine years, which a WWE fan has noted and made it viral on the internet. The update on Alumni roster page and update on his entrance theme seems like giving a hope to their fans.
There were rumors that have been buzzing the internet that Shisuke Nakamura has been targeting Punk’s return on his video package and upon return would have a singles match at Survivor Series. However Nakamura is not booked for Survivor Series and the return of CM Punk is not confirmed as well.
