Charlotte Flair pulled from WWE Live Events due to serious 'knee injury'

On last week’s episode of SmackDown, Charlotte Flair had a match against Asuka, which built up as a WrestleMania rematch. During the match, Charlotte Flair hurted her knee which went viral on the internet. In the leaked video which spreaded viral on the internet, it is clear that the sufferings are worse as Charlotte screamed “knee” and the medical staff were there to check her out. She was then escorted to the backstage area with the help of medical staff and referee. It was reported that she could potentially be injured, now an update on Flair’s WWE status has been revealed.
Charlotte Flair written-off due to injury
As reported by PWInsider, Charlotte Flair was pulled from WWE live events this week, which she was originally scheduled to be a part-off. However there is no update on how serious the injury is.
PWInsider report wrote,
“Charlotte Flair was originally scheduled for this weekend’s WWE live events but was pulled after being hurt while wrestling Asuka on Friday Night Smackdown. There has been no concrete update on Flair beyond some being concerned the knee injury could be fairly serious.”
It seems like Charlotte Flair could be out of action for two to three weeks as WWE holiday seasons are announced from December 19, 2023 to December 25, 2023. Since the seriousness of the injury is unknown, the time-off from television could not be predicted.
Flair returned to WWE after a long hiatus last december and has been consistent in the ring with quite a few hiatus. She has been a part of the SmackDown brand since then and performed in a number of events and a fixed feud with Damage CTRL. Since being called off from television and the Royal Rumble PLE is on the way, could the two time winner’s involvement be impacted?
