WWE provides injury update on Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn has been a great babyface of the company and is having a huge fan support throughout the year. He had a great year so far from leaving The Bloodline, main eventing WrestleMania, becoming the Undisputed Tag Team Champion, and so on.
Zayn currently focuses on becoming the World Champion for the first time and has developed a feud with Drew McIntyre over becoming the world champion and Jey Uso. Both have disagreements with each other as Drew chose to slowly turn evil with vengeance in mind and Zayn remains babyface with motivation and forgiveness.
Zayn and McIntyre had a backstage discussion week after week and battled it inside the ring. Last week on Raw, Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn had a match between them, where Sami Zayn injured his leg and McIntyre kept targeting the leg over and over and won. Following the win, McIntyre attacked Sami Zayn backstage brutally.
Sami Zayn injury update
Sami Zayn didn’t show up on this week’s Raw and the WWE color commentator, Michael Cole revealed that Zayn has partially torn his meniscus and would be taken off from television.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Sami Zayn has requested a time off from the company and the request has been approved. The exact period of hiatus is not known however by the booking it is confirmed that Zayn will not be showing up for the rest of the year.
As Sami Zayn is not scheduled for the December 28 show in Laval, Quebec, which is his hometown venue, it is clear that he wouldn’t be showing up through that date, as the shows in Quebec would be built around him.
Will Sami be coming up with a great revenge in mind and cost Drew McIntyre his championship at Day 1 of Raw, as Seth Rollins vs Drew McIntyre is announced for the January 1, 2024 episode of Raw? Comment what you think.
