Jey Uso has been traded to Raw since September 2023 and has been having singles run for the very first time. As he left his twin Jimmy Uso and The Bloodline, he decided to compete individually and tried everything uniquely to stand out from the Bloodline shadow. He brought his own individual entrance theme, his own merchandise, his own catchphrase and so on. His catch phrase “YEET!” went viral since the post-event media show of Fastlane, since then he’s been using the word and selling merchandise of it on the WWE Shop.

However, on the recent episode of Raw, during the video-taped promo for his World Heavyweight Championship match against Seth Rollins, the YEET gear was blurred and no YEET word was used throughout the program from him.

This caught the attention of many and it was revealed that the catch phrase “YEET!” was trademarked by a wrestler named Kasey Hauffman from West Virginia a few years ago. This brought a halt to Jey Uso’s YEET! catchphrase. However, a positive update on the catchphrase has been revealed.

“YEET!” is back

Following the complications of trademark issues, Fightful reported that the trademark filing documents possessed by Kassey Haffman reveals that the application was suspended in October 2022 and is now trademark free. The report says that the trademark application is now listed as “DEAD APPLICATION Refused Dismissed or Invalidated”.

‘The Main Event’ Jey Uso took it to his social media handle and celebrated the un-ban of YEET! Jey on his X (Twitter) account wrote “YEET!!! -Jey Uso”.

It seems like the catchphrase YEET! will be returning to WWE after a week on the upcoming week on Raw and the stocked merchandise would be back in the WWE shop for sales.

Do you think Jey Uso should file a trademark on the catch phrase and make it his own to avoid future complications?
