Roman Reigns is one of the most popular and greatest wrestlers of WWE in the modern era. He is one of the third-generation wrestlers from the Anoa’i wrestling family. Roman Reigns has been in WWE since 2010 and has achieved monumental success in the company. He is a nine-time champion in the company and broke a number of records on the road.

He had a great run as a babyface, however turned into a greater heel by aligning with Paul Heyman and with his cousins The Usos and Solo Sikoa. Reigns has been the Universal Champion for more than three years and is now holding the record as the fifth longest reigning champion and longest reigning champion since 1988. However, he is having a great time with the company, making and breaking records, his 2023 match count revealed to be surprising.

Roman Reigns Match count 2023

With only three days until the year’s end and there aren’t any matches scheduled until January 2024, Roman Reigns will complete this year with just wrestling eleven matches in 2023. This marks a 79% drop in his total matches wrestled in 2022. Reigns had the most number of matches in 2015 which is 213, which is only 5% of the matches he had in 2023.

Reigns on his current run is having a long hiatus from time to time after every match, which has slowly transformed into a partimer. Compared to previous years, he occasionally showed up and rarely took part in matches and that too on very selective special occasions.

The eleven matches of Roman Reigns in 2023 was against Kevin Owens in Royal Rumble, Sami Zayn in Elimination Chamber and a House Show in Ontario, Cody Rhodes in WrestleMania Night 2, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens at Night of Champions, Rey Mysterio in house shows in Cincinnati and Mexico City, The Usos at Money in the Bank, Jey Uso at SummerSlam, Sami Zayn at Supershow in Kansas City, and LA Knight at Crown Jewel.
