Triple H teases return of former WWE Champion on Raw Day 1

WWE has been planning for special New Year’s Week shows throughout the first week, Raw Day 1, NXT New Year’s Evil, and SmackDown New Year’s Revolution. The three weekly premieres are filled with some of the top card pay-per-view potential matches. As WWE is looking for a great start for 2024, it is reported that Triple H is planning to bring back the former WWE Champion to Raw Day 1 and he himself has commented on that.
Triple H to return Former WWE Champion
Fightful Select earlier today reported that Triple H has been planning to bring the former WWE Champion, who is not currently on the active roster to WWE Raw Day 1, however there isn’t any confirmation on who the former WWE Champion is.
Triple H responded to the reports that he neither confirm nor deny about the former WWE Champion’s return at WWE Raw Day 1. However, he asked the fans to stay tuned to the New Year’s Day episode of Raw.
Triple H on X,
“Not going to confirm or deny the rumors of a former @WWE Champion appearing at #WWERaw Day One… but I will say to stay tuned. New Year’s Day, 8pm ET on @USANetwork,”
Rumors speculate that Batista could be the one who is returning to WWE and it would probably be regarding his WWE Hall of Fame 2024 induction. If the rumors are true that would be his first appearance in WWE in five years.
Apart from the return of the former WWE Champion, Raw Day 1 will also feature some of the great matches including Seth Rollins vs Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship, Rhea Ripley vs Ivy Nile for the Women’s World Championship, Gunther vs The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship and many more.
