According to PWInsider reports, they have heard from the sources that the SmackDown star and former WWE Tag Team Champion Zelina Vega has signed a new-multiple year contract with WWE and is the latest one to sign contracts after TKO merger.
“WWE Friday Night Smackdown star Zelina Vega has come to terms with WWE and signed a new multi-year deal with the company, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple WWE sources. Vega is the latest talent to sign a new deal following the Endeavor takeover of the company.”
Zelina Vega signed her first contract with WWE in June 2017 and started her journey with the company at WWE’s developmental brand NXT. She started as a heel Manager for Andrade Cien Almas. She made her main roster debut as the manager in April 2018 and started wrestling occasionally.
In 2020 she was released from WWE for social media activities supporting unionization, which was against the company’s terms. After eight months she returned and went on to become the first ever Queen of the Ring and eventually won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Carmella. Vega is now a part of Rey Mysterio’s Latino World Order (LWO) faction and is in a feud with Damage CTRL.
