Kurt Angle praises AJ Styles as “the most well-versed wrestler”: WWE

AJ Styles is one of the best professional wrestlers, who had a great run in almost every promotion he stepped foot in. He has been in WWE since 2016 and the Phenomenal One has made a major impact in the roster with great success & domination. Despite WWE, Styles is known for his time in TNA & NJPW, where he spent almost half his career and is having a hall of fame worthy career. Now a WWE Hall of Famer & his former rival in TNA praised him for being the most well-versed wrestler.
Kurt Angle praised AJ Styles
Kurt Angle in a recent Q&A session for AdFreeShows, was asked about his favorite opponents. Angle said AJ Styles and Samoa Joe are his favourites and called a match with them as priceless. He then revealed his favourite match involving AJ Styles in TNA and went on praising him, comparing with Rey Mysterio.
Kurt Angle says,
“It’s hard for me to pinpoint one, but almost every match I had with AJ Styles, to be honest with you. Him and Samoa Joe were my two favorites to work with and every match I had with both of them was priceless.”
“I would say probably with AJ, it would be our Last Man Standing Match [at TNA Hard Justice 2008]. I think that’s my favorite match with AJ and that wasn’t as much of a wrestling match as we had with other matches,”
“AJ is such a great talent. It’s so easy working with him because he just kind of flies around and you catch him. He just makes the matches exciting. Reminds me a lot of a bigger Rey Mysterio. AJ can work a heavyweight style. He can also work Lucha Libre style. He is the most well-versed wrestler I’ve ever been in the ring with.”
Styles is now involved in a feud with Roman Reigns and is about to face Reigns, Randy Orton, AJ Styles, LA Knight at Royal Rumble for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Could he be able to win his first Universal Championship? Comment your thoughts.
