Randy Orton opens up about dream WWE championship match with John Cena

Randy Orton is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, who has had a great run in WWE for over two decades. The Apex Predator is a 14-time World Champion, who is just two reigns less of equalling John Cena & Ric Flair for the most number of World Championship reigns in WWE.
Orton recently came back after a long hiatus and had a huge impact on the company. He made a huge contract bid among both Raw & General Manager, where Adam Pearce even promised him of giving a world title shot. However, Orton denied it. In a recent interview Orton spoke about becoming a World Champion again & his dream match that he wish to have before his retirement.
Randy Orton on WWE’s The Bump
Randy Orton recently appeared as a special guest on WWE’s The Bump, where Orton was asked about the possibility of Orton becoming a World Champion again, where Orton responded to it and also spoke about his dream title match with John Cena.
Randy Orton on becoming the World Champion again
“Gosh, you know, it’s not something that I harp on, because I’ve been so fortunate. You know, the 14 title reigns that I’ve had, you know that that means a lot to me. So making it 15, making it 16, like, of course I would love for that to happen. It doesn’t keep me up at night, dreaming of that next title shot, because I think I know that it’s in the cards. I feel healthy enough. I feel like I’ve got plenty of time left in my career to where I’m going to come back around and I’m going to be wearing that title at least one or two more times.”
Randy Orton on his Dream title match with John Cena
“A dream match for me would be to somehow find myself in a situation where I’m fighting Cena at WrestleMania for the title. Now, I don’t know how you get there. I’m not saying it’s gonna happen. I have never wrestled John at WrestleMania in a singles match. So that and we, we had some wars back in the day. So like, being able to revisit that after all this time, I think it’s not only something that I would want, I think the fans would eat it up too.”
Now, Orton has been so close to becoming the World Champion again, as he will be facing Roman Reigns, LA Knight & AJ Styles for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Royal Rumble. Could we be able to see Orton becoming the 15 time world champion at Royal Rumble 2024? Comment your thoughts.
