Seth Rollins' current injury status ahead of WWE WrestleMania 40

On the January 15, 2024 episode of Raw, Seth Rollins defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Jinder Mahal at the main event of the show. Rollins and Mahal showcased a great fight and successfully retained his championship. However, during the match, it was clear that Rollins had been mourning pain in his left knee, which also played a major part in the match.
PWTorch previously reported that Rollins suffered an injury and would be on a hiatus for weeks and could play out in a storyline. Now a recent report regarding Seth Rollins’ injury has been revealed. Reports suggest that Seth Rollins is indeed suffering from a knee injury, as a result WWE have stopped advertising Rollins from WWE live shows. Now a major update on his WWE status has been revealed, which could shock the WWE universe and his fans.
Seth Rollins’ injury update
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Seth Rollins has been suffering from a torn MCL and partially torn meniscus, after his match on Raw, which could probably require surgery.
“Unfortunately, the word in WWE and sources near Rollins are that he sustained a torn MCL and a partially torn meniscus. However, it is not known as of yet if he’ll require surgery, though the hope is that he can avoid it. We also aren’t sure how WWE will play things on television, or if the injury will be downplayed or embellished.”
PWInsider on the other hand stated that if it requires surgery, he would be out of action for 3 to 4 weeks when he tries to push it hard, but can extend up to 4 to 6 weeks for complete recovery. The reports also suggest that Rollins could wrestle at WrestleMania, but his other major events will be a question mark.
Seth Rollins is now advertised for next week’s episode of Raw, where he will be kicking off the show and addressing his future. We need to wait to see what Rollins would say on Raw about his medical condition.
