Nick Aldis looks to end Roman Reigns title reign, Roman signs the contract, Chance & Carter retained the tag titles, Pete Dunne is back and more!

The January 19, 2024 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown is officially overand it is one of the most important show to watch out for as the hype for the Royal Rumble matches are built great. A number of things happened on this week’s episode of SmackDown. Get to know what happened, as we came out with the complete summary, full results, winners, highlights and grades for this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

WWE SmackDown Summary & Highlights

Fatal 4-Way Match Contract Signing

SmackDown General Manager is on the stage introducing one by one. AJ Styles came first and signed the contract, followed by LA Knight and Randy Orton. Aldis calls out Roman Reigns, but Paul Heyman arrives instead of him. Heyman claims that they just arrived and they haven’t got chance to read the contract and so he would not sign the contract

Aldis says that it is totally fine (Heyman walks back) and would made it a Triple Threat match for the Vacant Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Heyman walks back to Aldis and tries to convince him for a one on one match with any one of them.

LA Knight stopped Heyman saying that this must be a one on one match, but Reigns and his cousins spoiled that. It should have been his rematch after Crown Jewel, but Orton and Styles came out of nowhere to the front of the line after a long hiatus.

Styles claims that Bloodline tried to end his career and Knight walk over is deadbody for the chance. Knight says that he would walk over his deadbody again, but this time he would be the one to lay him down. This turned into a brawl and they were pulled backstage from the securities and officials.

Heyman laughs like his plan actually worked. But Orton grabbed his tie and says that his plan not gonna work as Orton will take Solo Sikoa out tonight with the most dangerous three letters in the all of sports entertainment RKO.

Backtage: Nick Aldis & AJ Styles

Nick Aldis was heading to Roman Reigns locker room and AJ Styles stops him and asks for a match with LA Knight tonight and Aldis granted.

Latino World Order vs Legado Del Fantasma

Angel Garza and Carlito stars the march and Del Toro tags in. He delibered a Hurricanrana to Angel and tagged Wilde in for a double team attack. Wilde delivered a shoulder throw and LWO cleared the ring sending all the three out to deliver a suicide dive.

After the commercial, LDF took control with a modified double team cutter and breaking Wilde’s ribs with a double gorilla press to Escobar’s knee. All the three targeting Wilde, by stopping him from tagging others.

Wilde fights back and delivered a tornado DDT, sneaks through his opponent to tag Carlito. Carlito hit a running knee on Garza,  Humberto hit a kick from the second rope, Del Toro delivered a Headbutt, Escobar and Wilde delivered a super kick, Carlito delivered a double chokebomb. Carlito delivered a backstabber on Humberto Carillo, but Escobar blind tagged him and rolled Carlito for the win.

Winner: Legado Del Fantasma Ratings: 3.5/5

Video Tape: Bobby Lashley & Street Profits

Bobby Lashley and Street Profits appeared on a video tape to cut promo against Karrion Kross and AOP. They claimed why they are best and said that they are Grand Slam faction. Lashley asked hem for a match with place and venue of their choice to teach them a lesson.

Pretty Deadly vs Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate

Butch is back with his name Pete Dunne and everyone are excited for the Bruiserweight. Tyler Bate and Kitt Wilson start the match, where Dunne tagged in and took Wilson down with a clothesline and flexing his finger and arm. Bate gets tagged un and delivered a long spin to Wilson on his shoulders.

Elton Prince & Kitt Wilson try to stop Bate from tagging Pete Dunne, by locking him on their corner. Bate took both and went on to tag Pete Dunne. Dunne is fired up, he delivered a German Suplex on Wilson, kick to the face of Prince, threw Wilson with a vertical throw on Prince. Bate gets tagged in. He delivered a pop and boom punch and a clothesline. Dunne tags back and delivered Bitter End for the win.

Pretty Deadly in a backstage interview after the loss claims that they were ready for Butch and not Pete Dunne and so they lost the match.

Winner: Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate Ratings: 3.5/5

The KO Show

Logan Paul claims that this is his show and not the KO show. Logan Paul says that Kevin Owens was the one who started the feud. Owens asks how and he plays the video clip three years ago where Owens delivered a stunner to Paul and insulted him infront of everyone.

Owens says that Logan Paul has evolved a lot, but not one among them like Rey Mysterio, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens. Paul says that he doesn’t wanna be like them as he is way above all as he is the Maverick, The Social Media star and hero of all.

Owens says that Paul is protected and uses tools to become the US Champ. Paul says that Owens is protected with the cast in hand. Logan has knocked out everyone who stepped foot against him. Owens says that he is the one who got punished ao bad and got back stronger everytime.

Owens promises that he will not be with the cast at Royal Rumble and removes it. Logan Paul delivered a big right hand on Owens, however he stood up soon and took Paul down. Logan hit Owens broken hand on the ring post and made him suffer pain again and left.

Ratings: 3.5/5

Backstage: The Bloodline

Roman Reigns says that because of Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman, he is in this situation. Solo Sikoa claims that he will fix things tonight by taking out everyone tonight.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match

Alba Fyre and Kayden Carter starts the match, as the unholy reunion dominate the initial part of the match with a two on one attack. Carter fights back and tagged Chance in. She gains control and drops Fyre down and uses Isla Dawn from the top rope to land on Fyre.

Carter gets tagged in and delivered a Canadian Destroyer on Alba Fyre. Chance took Dawn with a top rope cross body outside the ring and their finisher on Fyre to retain the championship.

After the match, Asuka and Kairi Sane of Damage CTRL, who were on the ring side took the titles on their hands to confront the champs. They took the title from their hands to end the segment.

Winner: Katana Chance & Kayden Carter Ratings: 3/5

Video Tape: The Final Testament

The Final Testament appeared on a video clip, where they cut promo against Bobby Lashley and Street Profits. They claim that they didn’t got the chance like them as they are destroyer and uncivilized. They responded to Lashley’s request to call for the place and time of the match. Kross says that they will face them next week and everyone will know who the real all mighty are.

Backstage

Carmelo Hayes was on a interview backstage, where Austin Theory and Grayson Waller confronted him for almost ending Theory’s career. Hayes asks for a rematch which Waller confirmed on behalf of Theory. Melo says that he will ask Aldis to make it official and walked away. Theory stares Waller and says not to do that.

AJ Styles vs LA Knight

Knight wasted no time and attacks Styles right away. Knight delivered a backdrop, but Styles locks his head. Knight pushed Styles face first to the turnbuckle. Styles fights back and both destroy each other. Knight caught Styles in the air and powerslammed him.

While Knight looks for a knee strike, Styles walks out and pulled Knight down. Knight fights back and blew Styles head on the announcement table. Jimmy Uso walks towards the ring that distracts Knight. He walks towards him and back to Styles, where Styles delivered a over head kick.

Knight lays back on the barricade, where Solo Sikoa caught him and Samoan Spiked him. Sikoa took Styles to the ring and Samoan Spiked Styles. Solo took mic in his hands and says that he took two down and only Orton left. He calls out Orton for their match.

Result: Disqualification Ratings: 3.5/5

Solo Sikoa vs Randy Orton

Orton punches Sikoa to the face, but Solo slaps him and delivered a Samoan hip splash. Orton rolls out and looks to back drop Solo through the announcement desk. But Sikoa strikes back and drives him down before the commercial.

Solo tries to continue the dominance, but Orton hit a backdrop on the announcement desk. Solo fights back and took Orton in, where Orton delivered an elevated DDT on Solo. Jimmy tries to interfere but Styles and Knight took him out. Orton delivered a RKO on Solo for the win.

Winner: Randy Orton Ratings: 3.5/5

Roman Reigns signs the Contract

After the match, Knight, Orton and Styles confront each other. Knight took Styles down with a clothesline. Orton delivered RKO on Knight and Styles. Roman Reigns came from the back and Superman punched Orton. Nick Aldis gave the contract to Reigns and he finally signed the contract. Roman looks to spear him, but Orton countered with a RKO. Orton stands tall and SmackDown comes to an end.
