“The Ring General” Gunther is one of the best in class wrestlers on the active WWE roster. He is the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time with a monumental reign of almost 600 days. He is a dominant champion, with an undefeated record in the singles match via pinfall or submission.
Gunther made a great impact on the company within a short period of time and elevated the Intercontinental title into a whole new level. As WrestleMania season kick-started the focus turned on who could Gunther face at the show of shows? However, Gunther himself had spoken about his dream match, however is unsure whether it would happen or not.
Gunther on his Dream Match with Brock Lesnar
Gunther recently appeared for an interview with GV Wire, where The Ring General was asked about his dream match, whether it could happen this year or in future. To which he said that he always spoke about his dream match in the past interviews, however it fell through. He cited Brock Lesnar as his dream opponent, however he is not sure whether Brock would be able to return to WWE again or not. However, he is open to any feud as of now.
“I always was vocal about my dream match in the past, but that fell through now. I don’t know if we’ll see Brock again if that’s ever going to happen. But I’m wide open when it comes to that as of now.”
Lesnar is slowly getting erased by the company for his likely involvement in Miss Janel Grant’s sex trafficking case. Lesnar was supposed to return during the Rumble match, however it never happened and his traces have been slowly getting removed. Most believe that Lesnar might never show up in the company again, which Gunther addressed.
The Ring General will be defending his Intercontinental Championship against Jey Uso on the upcoming episode of Raw, which seems to be a typical threat to the ring general.
