WWE planning a high-profile feud for Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker is one of the young, talented and upcoming WWE Superstars, who is believed to be the future of the company. He has been impressive in NXT, where he was the former NXT Champion and current NXT Tag Team Champion. He was the face of the black and yellow brand for so long and has put on some great matches.

He made a great impression at this year’s Royal Rumble replacing Brock Lesnar, where a number of veterans appreciated his performance. Since then there has been a huge expectation on him and was teased of moving to the main roster for a greater feud. It is now reported that WWE has been planning for a high-profile feud for Breakker in the future, based on the previous segments.

Bron Breakker vs Roman Reigns in the making?

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Heyman’s interaction with Bron Breakker during last week’s backstage segment was not just a passing moment. Meltzer said that it is a plan of WWE to plant seed for the future feud between Bron Breakker and Roman Reigns.

Meltzer reported that,

“It’s been noted with Heyman showing up in the Breakker segment on Smackdown and Breakker doing the “Best spear in the business” T-shirt and gimmick that this could be a subtle start for a program way down the line. Obviously Reigns has programs set up for Rock and Sikoa as well and he only does a few matches per year.”

It is important to note that Paul Heyman was the one who stood on Breakker’s corner last year during an NXT show, which was promoted as the Greatest NXT ever.

Breakker on the most recent episode of SmackDown signed a SmackDown contract and became exclusive to the SmackDown brand, moments before the Roman Reigns & The Rock’s segment in the main event.
