WrestleMania is one of the biggest annual professional wrestling events in the world. WWE has hosted a total of 39 WrestleManias so far and it is the longest-running event in the sports entertainment industry. This year’s Mania marks the 40th edition, which will be held at Lincoln Financial Field on April 6 and April 7 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States.
As WWE is busy on the road for the 40th anniversary, a major update on next year’s WrestleMania 41 has been revealed, which potentially reveals the location of the show.
WrestleMania 41 Location
Last year, Pat Kessler of CBS Minneapolis reported that Minneapolis was the front-runner to host Mania 41, however WWE hasn’t made any official announcement. However, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Las Vegas seems to be the potential host of WrestleMania 41.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that,
“The front runner had been Minneapolis but there has been some rumblings of it possibly being in Las Vegas. With Endeavor now owning WWE, the old traditions and plans are out the window for whatever they deem to be the best moves for the company.”
Following that a twitter account Vital Vegas has reported that Mania is coming to Las Vegas and the announcement will be done soon.
“Early word: WrestleMania is coming back to Las Vegas, announcement anticipated soon. This will be the first WrestleMania in Las Vegas since IX in 1993 at Caesars Palace. They had some sort of news conference in Vegas yesterday for XL, to be held in Philadelphia.”
If that becomes true it will be the first time that a Mania will be hosted in Las Vegas after 32 years. It is worth noting that the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff show happened in Vegas a week ago.
