WWE and UFC came under the common umbrella of TKO Group last year and there has been a huge expectation for a cross-over between the companies.

We have witnessed a number of persons moving from mixed martial arts to professional wrestling and a number of pro-wrestlers trying out MMA. Now a real crossover happened where a UFC star cuts a promo in the WWE’s premium television show calling out a bigger UFC star.

Michael Chandler calls out Conor McGregor

On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw in Anaheim, California, UFC Lightweight Fighter, Michael Chandler was in attendance with the WWE Universe. WWE Raw Ring Announcer, Samantha Irwin introduced him and gave his microphone to him to cut a promo. Chandler with the mic in his hand called out former UFC Lightweight & Featherweight Champion, Conor McGregor to the Octagon.

Chandler said, “Hey, you are now in the presence of the most entertaining UFC fighter on the planet. Hey, now there’s a man from Ireland who has been making me wait for way too long. And I’ve still got one dude on my mind — Conor McGregor get your candy ass back to the Octagon, we’ve got some unfinished business, boys. God bless, I’ll see you at the top!”

Chandler also teased of signing to WWE on his tweet in X.

McGregor hasn’t stepped into the Octagon for a fight since 2021 after losing to Dustin Poirier, where he broke his leg. McGregor however teased of returning to fight on his social media last December stating it as the “greatest comeback of all time”. However he hasn’t shown up and is engaged with his modeling and acting career.

It is uncertain about McGregor’s availability, but the world of combat sports is expecting a reply from the Notorious one.

Chandler is not the only one to call out McGregor. Ilia Topuria, the new Featherweight Champion, who defeated Alexander Volkanowski at UFC 298 called out McGregor saying “Conor McGregor, if you still have some balls, I will be waiting for you in Spain” after the match. To which McGregor replied, “I have huge balls, I’ve four kids”. With that in mind, could McGregor reply to Chandler’s call?
