WWE SmackDown Results, Highlights & Winners (February 16, 2024): The Rock joins The Bloodline
The Rock joins The Bloodline, Kevin Owens, Logan Paul, Naomi & Tiffany Stratton qualified, Bron Breakker signs with blue brand and much more!
The February 16, 2024 episode of Friday Night SmackDown is officially over and it is one of the must watch shows in recent times. This is the final SmackDown that is aired live before Elimination Chamber and it was star-studded. A number of things happened on the blue brand, which set the major foundation for the upcoming events. Get to know what happened on this weekâs episode of SmackDown as we came out with the complete match summary, highlights, results and winners list.
SmackDown Summary & Highlights
Menâs Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match- Kevin Owens vs Dirty Dominik Mysterio
Dom locks Owensâ head, but Owens put Dom down and locks his head. Owens with a shoulder tackle and arm drag. Dom came back strong and took Owens down by sending him flying and with a drop kick. Owens fights back and sent Dom out of the ring.
Owens took Dom to the ring and R-Truth came to the ring side, which distracts Owens and Dom took advantage. Dom hit a sliding kick on KO, blew his head on the commentary desk, took him to the ring and hit a spring board senton.
Dominik is still in control of the match with the head lock and a takedown. KO fights back and hit a vicious clothesline on Dom. Owens is fired up and he blew him with a head butt, kicks to the mid section and sent him out. Owens took Dom down out of the ring and hit a senton. Owens took Dom in and delivered a cannon ball and a frog splash from the top rope, but not enough.
Owens looks for a Pop-up Power Bob, but Dom hit him with a X Factor and two amegos. Owens stopped him and hit with amegos. Dom went for the top rope frog splash, but nobody holds. Owens hit a swantom bomb from the top rope, but not enough. Dom fights back and hit him with a super kick and a 619. Dom asked Truth to bring him a chair, but Truth is clear that he is not in Judgment Day and brought chair to sit. Owens hit a super kick and pop-up power bomb for the win.
Backstage- Drew McIntyre & LA Knight
Drew was interviewed backstage about Owens qualifying. Drew doesnât mind anyone qualifying, as he is going to win the Elimination Chamber. LA Knight interfered him and says that Knight is going to win the match and brought McIntyreâs CM Punk mocking shirt and said that he has a t shirt for burying both CM Punk & DM(Drew McIntyre) Punk. As Knight and McInytre having an heated up argument, referees separated them. As a result a match is announced for next weekâs SmackDown.
Backstage- Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne
Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne are interviewed backstage. They discuss about defeating Judgment Day for the tag titles. Dom interfered that they canât defeat any two of the Judgment Day. Bate challenged Dom & Truth for a tag team match next week. Dom went saying Truth is not in the Judgment Day. Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne vs Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh announced for next week.
Womenâs Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match- Zelina Vega vs Tiffany Stratton
Zelina is having initial advantage of the match by sending Tiff out of the ring, hit her with a tornado DDT with the help of apron and a moon sault outside the ring. LDF is seated at the audience side and they distract Zelina.
LWO came to the ring side to avoid LDF interference, where Vega delivered DDT and Tiff hit an Alabama Slam. Tiff went for the ropes, and Vega stopped her with a 619 to the leg and hit a metiora. Tiff sneaks out of the ring, Vega went chasing her and took Elaktra Lopez down. Vega got distracted and Tiff used the moment, hit a double choke bomb and prettiest moonsault ever for the win.
Backstage- The O.C.
The Good Brothers & Michin came to meet AJ Styles, but things isnât going their way. As tensions developed between AJ Styles and The Good Brothers. Styles pushed Carl Anderson and they develop tension between The O.C.
Damage CTRL
IYO SKY & Kabuki Warriors cut a video tape promo, where they sent a message to Bayley & Dakota Kai. IYO said that they built the Damage CTRL, and said Bayley cannot win the title from her at WrestleMania as it is IYO SKYâs era. They said that Dakota Kai turning on them for no reason will see the consequences.
The AOP vs Javier Bernal & Beau Morris
Akam and Bernal start the match, where Akam took both down. Both entered the ring, hit a super collider on both of them and hit a backbreaker-powerbomb combo for the win.
Backstage Interview- Logan Paul
Logan Paul is interviewed backstage about his first match in SmackDown. He is so confident about knocking out The Miz in SmackDown, heading to Australia, winning the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania to become the double champ.
Menâs Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match- Logan Paul vs The Miz
Logan Paul took Miz to the corner and disrespects him. The Miz took Logan Paul down. Logan fights back and hit a flying crossbody and standing moonsault. Miz targets Loganâs leg. Logan Paul delivered a rolling slam, a series of uppercut and a leg drop.
Maverick tried to chop Miz, but Miz hit him back and kicks him on the ribs. Miz delivered his signature clothesline to the corner. Mav took Miz down with a clothesline and delivered a splash on the apron.
After the commercial, Miz counters Logan Paulâs offence and takes down Logan Paul with a clothesline. Miz hit a modified Flatliner and looks for a Skull Crushing Finale, bur Paul escapes. Miz hit a double knees to the chest. Miz hit Logan with the Yes Kicks, and Logan Paul rolls him up. Maverick stomps Paulâs leg and kept targeting it. Mav pulled the ring cover, as ref went to fix that, Logan Paul poked Miz eye and Skull Crushing Finale, but not enough.
Miz delivered a Figure 4 lock and Mav breaks hit. Mav was handled with Brass Knuckles. Miz took that out. Logan hit the big right hand and pinned Miz to qualify for the Elimination Chamber.
Backstage- Nick Aldis Office
Jade Cargill and Bron Breakker are about to sign SmackDown contract. Tiff walks in and asked Liv and Belair who to pin first in the elimination chamber match. Aldis asked her to leave.

Paul Heyman was discuissing Grayson Waller, who will be hosting Grayson Waller Effect at Elimination Chamber with Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins as the special Guest host.
Womenâs Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match- Naomi vs Alba Fyre
Alba Fyre took Naomi down with a take down. Fyre distracts ref and Isla Dawn attacks Naomi. However Naomi slaps Fyre and hit a leg drop to take control of the match. Naomi took Fyre out with a bulldog over the steel stairs. After the commercial, Naomi controls the match with a clothesline, head scissors take down, drop kick and a bull dog.
Naomi climbs the top rope and hit a cross body. Fyre fights back and hit Naomi Face first to the ground. Fyre took Naomi to the shoulder, but Naomi rolls down. Isla Dawn tries to distract, but Naomi hit her with a step-up enzigiri. Naomi locked Alba Fyre with a submission hold and won to qualify for the Elimination Chamber.
Backstage- Dakota Kai & Bayley
Dakota Kai met Bayley backstage and asks for her help. Kai says that the girls were talking about taking Kai out, but Bayley said that she doesnât know who to trust. Bayley appreciated Kai for having her back last week, but is not sure about her stand.
Bron Breakker is SmackDown
Nick Aldis announced that a Free Agent has signed a SmackDown contract and introduced Bron Breakker. Breakker came to the entrance ramp and signed the SmackDown contract in front of the live crowd.
The Bloodline & The Rock
Roman Reigns took shots on the WWE Universe. Roman says that tonight is the greatest night in the history of WWE and crowd chants Cody. Roman said that Cody ruined that, but The Rock will be joining The Bloodline tonight.
Rock says that he has good news to share. The Rock took shots of WWE Universe and gets a huge boo. Finally! The Rock has come back. The Rock & Roman Reigns the biggest main event in the history of WrestleMania was ruined by the fans stating they wanted Cody to finish his story. And Rock asks what is Codyâs story and its a stupid logic.
The Rock says that what about their story. He says that the momentum spoiled because of Cody Cry Babies. The Rock ensures that Codyâs story will be ending and the Bloodline story is just starting. He looks to use all his power to make it happen. The Rock says âCan you smellâŚ. what the Bloodline is Cookingâ and SmackDown comes to an end.

- Kevin Owens defeated âDirtyâ Dominik Mysterio to qualify for the Menâs Elimination Chamber match
- Logan Paul defeated The Miz to qualify for the Menâs Elimination Chamber match.
- Tiffany Stratton defeated Zelina Vega to qualify for the Womenâs Elimination Chamber match.
- AOP made their SmackDown in-ring return and defeated Javier Bernal & Beau Morris by pinfall.
- Naomi defeated Alba Fyre to qualify for the Menâs Elimination Chamber match.
- Bron Breakker signs the SmackDown contract and will make his in-ring debut next week.
- The Rock joins The Bloodline and sends message to Cody Rhodes of ending Codyâs story.
