Penta El Zero Miedo (Pentagón Jr.) is a Mexican Professional Wrestler who is currently signed with AEW. He is a luchador enmascarado, who has been in the pro-wrestling industry since 2007 and wrestled for several major Mexican promotions such as Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, Lucha Underground, CMLL, big promotions such as Impact Wrestling, AEW, ROH and numerous independent circuits. He has been in AEW since 2019 and was the former AEW World Tag Team & AEW World Trios Champion.

There was a major rumor that has been circulating in the wrestling industry that Penta El Zero Miedo & his brother Rey Fenix are all set to sign with WWE after their current AEW contracts expire. Now, Penta has revealed his AEW status and has put an end to ongoing WWE rumors.

Penta El Zero Miedo addressed WWE rumors

In June 2024, Lucha Libre Online started the rumor that Penta El Zero Miedo is likely to be WWE-bound after his current AEW contract expires. The reports said that WWE is interested in signing him after his contract expires in August 2024.

Adding more hope to that, the Pentagon filed trademarks for the named ‘Cero Miedo’, ‘Zero Miedo’ & ‘AN1MO’ for entertainment purposes. Following that Rey Fenix filed trademarks for ‘Rey Fuego’, ‘King Fuego’ and ‘Fuego’ which is believed to be for his future appearances after leaving AEW.

Earlier this month, Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that the internal belief between AEW is that The Lucha Bros would be leaving the company for AEW after their deal expires. Following the rumors, Ibou of Wrestle Purists posted a tweet on X/Twitter reporting that multiple sources within WWE are expecting Pentagon Jr. to be in Orlando by this week.

Wrestle Purists wrote on X,

“Multiple sources within WWE are of the belief that Pentagon Jr will be in Orlando at some point this week. – @BackupHangman (WrestlePurists Worldwide)”

To which Pentagon himself has reacted to the tweet saying that it is fake news and he is currently in AEW.

Penta El Zero Miedo replied, “Please stop posting fake news!! My present in AEW!!”

Fightful Select has learned that Penta told his friends in AEW that his contract with AEW has already expired, although there is no confirmation about it. AEW Insiders report that their contract expiration date would have expired due to injury time. Fightful also noted that multiple talents within AEW suspect the rumors were true, but were surprised by the reports.
