AJ Styles admits he 'Expected A Problem' with CM Punk following his WWE return
AJ Styles is one of the best professional wrestlers in the industry, who have a great legacy beyond WWE. Styles has been in professional wrestling for more two and a half decades and in WWE for over eight years. The 46 year old is a seven time champion in the company including two WWE Championship, three United States Championships, one Intercontinental Championship and one Tag Team Championship reign. He is the 32nd Triple Crown Champion and 15th Grand Slam Champion of the company.
Styles is currently in a rivalry with LA Knight and is all set to tear each other apart at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia. Ahead of their most anticipated match, Styles appeared for an interview, & it seems like he has found his next opponent.
AJ Styles wants to fight CM Punk
AJ Styles recently appeared for an interview on The Ringer Wrestling Show, where The Phenomenal One was asked about CM Punk’s return. To which Styles said that he was expecting a problem with him, stating his past problems in AEW with Styles best friends. Styles says, but he was wrong, as Punk seems more happy being here. Styles says that he wanted to step into the ring with him after Punk clears from his tricep injury.
“If you know anything about AJ Styles and CM Punk, you would know that we really don’t care for each other. If you want me to ruin everything you think you know, I can. Here it is. Past performance predicts future behavior, right? Some over at AEW are my best friends. Love them, trust them, know them.”
“I was expecting a problem when he came here. I was wrong. The guy looks like he’s happy to be here. He looks like a guy that I want to step into the ring with and tear the house down with. So, I can’t wait until that tricep of his is ready to rock so we can tear the house down.”
It seems like CM Punk has got a number of opponents waiting for him to return from injury.
