All matches announced for WWE NXT (May 6, 2025): Joe Hendry in action; 25-man battle royal & more

The April 29 episode of WWE NXT featured Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky!

The April 29 episode of WWE NXT emanated live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. This episode saw the developmental brand return to the Performance Center following WrestleMania 41 week in Las Vegas.

The episode saw Ricky Saints retaining the NXT North American Championship as he defeated Lexis King in the first match of the show, while Sol Ruca defeated Karmen Petrovic in a singles match. After the match, Ashante Adonis berated Petrovic for the loss as she fired back, knocking him out with a roundhouse kick.

NXT Tag Team Champions Hank and Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) also retained their titles as they defeated the team of Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura. Furthermore, as announced, Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky arrived in NXT and teamed up with Jordynne Grace.

The team of Sky and Grace battled Giulia and Roxanne Perez in the main event of the show, where they picked up the win as Sky landed a moonsault from the top rope on Perez.

During the April 29 show, the developmental brand also announced matches for next week’s show as the build towards NXT Battleground 2025 starts. The May 06 episode of WWE NXT will air live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

After being brutally ambushed by the DarkState, TNA World Champion Joe Hendry is set to team up with the NXT Tag Team Champions Hank & Tank to battle the DarkState in a six-man tag team match. On the other hand, Kelandi Jordan will battle Zaria in a singles match.

General Manager Ava has also announced a clash between Jordynne Grace and Giulia to determine the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer. A 25-man battle royal is also set for the show, where participants will battle to determine the next challenger for NXT Champion Oba Femi.
