All matches announced for WWE SmackDown (May 23, 2025): Money in the Bank Qualifying matches & more

The next week’s episode of SmackDown will serve as the go-home show for SNME!
The fallout show of Friday Night SmackDown from Backlash 2025 aired live from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The show addressed the developments from the PLE while building towards the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event. The show also kicked off Money in the Bank qualifying matches.
Alexa Bliss defeated Chelsea Green and Michin to qualify for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Giulia joined the Blue brand after her fallout with Roxanne Perez on Raw.
Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom) defeated DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tomasso Ciampa) to continue their win streak. While the rematch between Aleister Black and Carmelo Hayes ended in disqualification as The Miz attacked Black.
Furthermore, Solo Sikoa defeated Jimmy Uso and Rey Fenix to qualify for the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match. After two back-to-back attacks, General Manager Nick Aldis made an impromptu match between Knight and JC Mateo.
Mateo pinned Knight in his WWE in-ring debut, while Tiffany Stratton defeated Nia Jax in an incredible main event clash to retain the WWE Women’s title. During the May 16 episode, the promotion also announced multiple matches for the next week’s show, which will serve as the go-home show for the May 24 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The May 23 edition of Friday Night SmackDown will air live from the EnMarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia. LA Knight, Shinsuke Nakamura and Aleister Black will battle in the second qualifying match for the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
On the other hand, Charlotte Flair, Giulia and Women’s United States Champion Zelina Vega will lock horns in the second qualifying match for the women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match.
As announced on this week’s show, after back-to-back impressive wins, Fraxiom will battle the WWE Tag Team Champions Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) in a rematch, this time the tag title is up for grabs in Georgia.
