The 02/21episode of the Blue brand will emanate from New Orleans

The 02/14 episode of Friday Night SmackDown emanated from the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, USA. The show featured two Elimination Chamber Qualifying matches as the build towards the PLE next month continued.

Naomi defeated Chelsea Green to secure the fifth spot in the women’s Chamber match while Damian Priest triumphed over Jacob Fatu and Braun Strowman in a triple threat match to bag the fifth spot in the men’s Chamber match.

The show also featured appearances from Solo Sikoa as Jacob Fatu and Cody Rhodes both wanted to confront him for separate reasons. Sikoa tried to mend the broken trust with Fatu and Tama Tonga but all his attempts failed as in the triple threat main event he accidentally took out Tonga instead of Rhodes.

Apart from this, Charlotte Flair picked WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton for WrestleMania 41 following Nia Jax and Candice LeRae’s beatdown of Stratton. LA Knight also defeated the Miz to claim the number one contender spot for the United States title which is currently held by Shinsuke Nakamura.

The next week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is set to air live from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisana. During the 02/14 show, the promotion announced two matches for the next week’s show.

Following the backstage interaction between Jimmy Uso and Drew McIntyre where Jimmy took out Drew with a superkick as the Scottish Pyscopath was trying to play mind games with Jimmy, a match between the two stars is now set for the show next week.

The promotion also announced that WWE Tag Team Champions Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano will defend their title against Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince). Pretty Deadly earned a title shot on the 02/07 show after defeating DIY in a match with the stipulation that a victory would grant them a championship opportunity against the tag team champions.
