AJ Lee will defend the IC title this week.

Live from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, the upcoming March 16 episode of Monday Night Raw is shaping up to be a consequential show featuring big names on the Road to WrestleMania 42.

The show is also expected to continue developing ongoing feuds and storylines leading up to WrestleMania, addressing current tensions that could culminate in major clashes on the ‘Grandest Stage’ next month in Las Vegas.

After issuing the open challenge last month, Brock Lesnar is set to make an appearance on this week’s show, as his open challenge remains unanswered. Lesnar is also lined up for four more appearances on the Road to WrestleMania.

Following the infamous segment on the March 2 episode, where Roman Reigns engaged in a promo battle against CM Punk, the OTC is set to make another appearance as part of his schedule on the Road to WrestleMania 42.

The upcoming appearance comes in the backdrop of the aforementioned comments, where Punk vowed to bury Reigns next to his father. A comments which has caused a major controversy with the Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) confronting Punk last week, and the segment led to a physical altercation last week.

Elsewhere on the card, AJ Lee will defend the WWE Women’s Intercontinental title against the winner of the gauntlet match from last week, Bayley, who secured the number one contender’s spot in the aforementioned match.

Additionally, “Original” El Grande Americano will battle El Grande Americano of the Los Americanos faction. The match announcement came after the latter somehow stole the Intercontinental title opportunity from the former on last week’s show.
