Rhea Ripley will be the main attraction this week
Rhea Ripley has had enough, and she is no longer going to remain on the sidelines. Mami is back and in full force as of last week’s WWE RAW, when she interrupted a made-for-Netflix scene in the ring between her boy toy “Dirty” Dom Mysterio and her rival, Liv Morgan.
Ripley will speak for the first time since losing her WWE Women’s World Championship due to a shoulder injury sustained during a backstage attack by Morgan. And she has a lot to say in the first act of her “Brutality Tour.”
She, Morgan, and The Judgment Day aren’t the only headlines waiting for you on Monday – Priest must answer to Ripley as well as face a showdown with Gunther — but Sami Zayn’s company has recently picked up.
Sami Zayn will defend his title this week on WWE RAW
Sami Zayn took the WWE Intercontinental Championship from Gunther at Wrestlemania 40 in April and is now more than three months into his reign, although most of it was related to a rivalry with Chad Gable, which has been shelved in favor of a program with rookie phenom Bron Breakker.
Zayn retained the title by defeating Breakker at Money in the Bank on July 6, but was brutally chopped in half by the rookie two days later on RAW, setting up a probable rematch at Summerslam on August 3 in Cleveland.
But first, Zayn will defend his championship against Ilja Dragunov on Monday, according to RAW general manager Adam Pearce — and both should keep a lookout for Breakker, who wants to steal the title away from Zayn and Bron’s constant feud with Dragunov since both were promoted up to the Red Brand.
And then there’s Drew McIntyre, who was suspended indefinitely by Pearce after delivering a sharp elbow to the GM’s teeth following his interference and beating at the hands of CM Punk in Toronto.
Punk came last week to urge Pearce to reverse the ban so they could battle it out formally (SummerSlam?), and Pearce agreed to meet with McIntyre on the next edition of RAW, with the condition that Punk go on hiatus until things were sorted out with McIntyre.
