Only one championship changed at King and Queen of the Ring PLE.
The WWE King and Queen of the Ring event took place on Saturday in Saudi Arabia. It was the 23rd time in WWE history that a King of the Ring winner was crowned, and just the second time a Queen of the Ring was recognized.
Saturday’s six-match lineup featured three championship matches, however only one title was won. Dominik Mysterio interfered in the WWE Women’s World Championship match, helping Liv Morgan to dethrone Becky Lynch.
Bronson Reed, Chad Gable, and Sami Zayn stole the show in the night’s main event, a triple-threat match for the Intercontinental Championship. Nia Jax and Gunther won the Queen and King of the Ring competitions, earning championship bouts at WWE’s SummerSlam event in August. Logan Paul and Cody Rhodes competed in a thrilling main event that saw the American Nightmare retain his Undisputed WWE Championship in Saudi Arabia.
In the aftermath of the WWE King and Queen of the Ring 2024 PLE, take a look at who currently controls all of the main roster championships.

NXT debuted in 2010 as a seasonal show billed as a cross between WWE’s scripted live event shows and reality television, in which talent from WWE’s then-developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) competed to become WWE’s next “breakout star” with the assistance of mentors from WWE’s Raw and SmackDown brands. This iteration aired for five seasons, with Wade Barrett, Kaval, Kaitlyn, and Johnny Curtis as champions.
Even today’s biggest superstars, including Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and GUNTHER, were on the developmental roster and are now considered stars.
