Austin Theory is one of the highly talented and fast-raising WWE superstars, who is believed to be the future of WWE. Theory has been in WWE since 2019 and has achieved great heights. He is a three-time champion and a one-time Money in the Bank winner, within this short period of time. Theory has just turned 27 today (August 02) and here we take a look at his top five moments in WWE history.
5. Winning the Tag Team Championship
At WrestleMania 40, Austin Theory teamed up with Grayson Waller and participated in the six-way tag team ladder match for the Raw and SmackDown tag team championship. During the mid-match, Theory and Waller unhooked the SmackDown tag team titles and crowned as the SmackDown tag team champions in the middle of the match, initiating the tag team title splits.
4. Becoming Seth Rollins’ disciple
On the May 18, 2020 tapings of WWE Raw, Theory got dumped by Andrade & Angel from their faction. Theory was seated on the ringside for a very long time. Seth Rollins noticed Theory during the match between Buddy Murphy and Aleister Black and made his disciple. Theory based on the commands of Rollins attacked Black and joined Rollins & Murphy. This is the first big impact of Theory in WWE main roster.
3. Winning the Money in the Bank
At the 2022 Money in the Bank pay-per-view, Austin Theory used his good deeds with Vince McMahon and entered the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match. Theory was the least favourite among WWE fans to win the briefcase, however Theory pushed Riddle down from the ladder and won the Money in the Bank briefcase. This is one of the biggest accomplishments of Theory’s career.
2. Defeating John Cena
The WrestleMania 39 Night 1 opened up with John Cena vs Austin Theory for the United States Championship. Theory during the storyline has mocked Cena, saying that he is the better wrestler than him and Cena was about to prove wrong at the match. However, Theory used his cheap tricks to win the match with a low blow and an A-Town Down to retain the US title. This is one of the major wins of Theory’s career.
1. Youngest United States Champion
On the April 18, 2022 episode of Raw, Austin Theory challenged Finn Balor for the WWE United States Championship and showcased a great fight. Balor was the clear favourite to win the match, however Theory proved it wrong by winning the US title for the first time. He was 24 years and 8 months old at the time, which makes him the youngest United States Champion in WWE history.
