‘The Role Model’ might be dealing with an injury
Bayley has disclosed that she suffered an injury during her WWE Women’s Title match against Tiffany Stratton on WWE SmackDown. The celebrity has been waiting for the chance to win the title for a long time.
Bayley was able to become the Number One Contender for the WWE Women’s Title by defeating everyone in her path. She was able to reclaim the championship she had been attempting to earn for quite some time. Unfortunately, this was not to be.
Tiffany Stratton won at the end of the night and was able to defend well after cashing in. Unfortunately, Bayley was injured during the match.
The star took to Instagram stories to show a video of herself in a bathtub, submerging her head to soak it. She admitted that during her battle, she took a toe from Tiffany Stratton directly to her eyelid. She showed off her bruise and announced that she was going to dunk in the tub.
The former women’s champion may have lost the bout, but she admitted that Stratton was a well-known figure in WWE. However, she also accused her of betraying her closest friend, Nia Jax. She stated that it was personal.
“Well, if we’ve seen what Tiffany Stratton can do this whole year on RAW and SmackDown, and from the last few months, she’s willing to turn on her best friend to get to the ‘Tiffy Top,’ as she says. Part of me kind of respects that, but the other part of me makes me want to beat her that much more, and tonight, it’s personal!” Regardless, she still lost. It’s unclear if she’ll get another shot anytime soon.
Bayley is currently in WWE NXT
Bayley became the first female Grand Slam Champion in WWE history. The Role Model has held the NXT Women’s Title, versions of the WWE Women’s Championship four times, and two stints as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. Bayley won the Royal Rumble in 2024 and also won Money In The Bank, a legendary WWE event, in 2019.
But now, she’s returning to her origins. Bayley featured on the January 28 episode of NXT, when she teamed up with NXT Women’s Champion Giulia to battle Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez in a tag team match. Bayley pinned Cora Jade to win the contest for her side, causing NXT General Manager Ava to schedule a three-way NXT Women’s Title match for Vengeance Day. Giulia will defend her championship against Bayley and Roxanne Perez.
