WWE has a big legacy and history with the USA Network!

WWE has a great legacy with the USA Network, which serves as a broadcast partner for the company’s flagship weekly shows. In 1993, Raw broadcasting debuted on USA Network for the first time until 2000 and it became the home of Raw from 2005 until the end of 2024.

SmackDown which broadcasted its shows on USA Network from 206 to 2019 recently returned home and will be residing for the next five years NXT has been on the USA Network since 2019 and just announced its departure. Here we take a look at the top five best moments of WWE on USA Network.

5. Greatest NXT of all time

On October 10, 2023, WWE hosted the Greatest NXT shows of all time featuring some of the veterans in the company including John Cena, The Undertaker, Paul Heyman, Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, Asuka & more.

Asuka continued her undefeated streak on NXT, John Cena stood in Carmelo Hayes’s corner, LA Knight special refereed the NXT Championship match, Jade Cargill appeared, and Undertaker appeared for the first time to chokeslam Bron Breakker. All these make it one of the Greatest NXT of all time on the USA Network.

4. Nexus debut

On the June 7, 2010, episode of WWE Raw, during the main event match between John Cena & CM Punk, Wade Barrett of NXT confronted John Cena and the entire NXT rookies under the name Nexus made their main roster debut surrounding the ring.

They took down John Cena, WWE officials, ring announcers, commentators, timekeepers and almost everyone ringside and wrecked everything on the ringside. The moment is still one of the most memorable moments of Raw on USA Network.

3. Brock Lesnar returns

On the April 02, 2012, episode of Monday Night Raw, the night after WrestleMania 28, Brock Lesnar made his first WWE appearance in eight years. Lesnar confronted John Cena offering a handshake only to turn it into a F5. Lesnar kicked Cena’s cap and marked his return in style, making a big statement taking down the face of WWE. 

2. The Rock returns as WrestleMania host

In February 2011, WWE announced that the host of WrestleMania 27 will officially be revealed on the February 14 edition of Raw. WWE Ring Announcer Justin Roberts gave an intro for the host and the lights turned off one by one and The Rock’s music was played.

The People Champ then made his first appearance on WWE in seven years, with an electrifying reception from the WWE Universe. Rock with his signature catchphrase announced that he is the special guest host of WrestleMania 27. Rock trash talked about Miz and Michael Cole and set the foundation for his rivalry with John Cena.

1. Seth Rollins betrays The Shield

On the June 2, 2014, episode of WWE Raw, Triple H & Randy Orton confronted the Shield after Batist quit WWE after suffering a loss at Payback. Triple H & Orton teased of attacking them, but said that they have a Plan B. Roman & Ambrose took a step forward, but Seth Rollins attacked Roman & Ambrose brutally with the steel chair to betray The Shield.

Rollins revealed that he got corrupted and aligned himself with Authority. Almost a decade passed, however, Seth Rollins’ betrayal on Shield is remembered and the impact of the betrayal is still playing a major storyline angle in the company.
