WWE Crown Jewel 2025 could be one of the places where we could see friends becoming enemies

We are just a few days away from WWE Crown Jewel 2025, set to emanate from Perth, Australia. The upcoming premium live event already boasts a massive lineup filled with world title clashes and blockbuster showdowns.

However, what truly makes Crown Jewel special each year are the twists, turns, and betrayals that redefine storylines heading into the winter season.

This year, fans are expecting fireworks and not just in the ring. Some alliances could shatter, and friendships might end dramatically. Here are four potential betrayals that could unfold at WWE Crown Jewel 2025.

Iyo Sky could betray Rhea Ripley in Perth

In one of the most emotional storylines in the women’s division, IYO SKY’s loyalty has been a question mark for weeks. Once betrayed by Asuka and Kairi Sane, the Genius of the Sky has since found an unlikely ally in Rhea Ripley. Together, they will face the Kabuki Warriors in tag team action at Crown Jewel.

However, IYO’s heart seems divided. The Damage CTRL connection still lingers, and her expressions on RAW have shown hesitation about siding with The Eradicator. At Crown Jewel, fans could witness SKY turning heel once again, rejoining her former partners by betraying Rhea Ripley mid-match.

Such a shocking moment would not only restore Damage CTRL’s unity but also set up a future feud between Ripley and SKY, a potential blockbuster rivalry heading into Survivor Series season.

Paul Heyman could abandon Seth Rollins

The alliance between Paul Heyman and Seth Rollins has been filled with tension and layered storytelling. In recent weeks, Heyman has openly questioned whether he made the right choice in siding with The Visionary over Roman Reigns.

On RAW, his statement — “If you lose to Cody Rhodes, at some point, I have to ask myself why I picked you over Roman Reigns”, sent shockwaves through the WWE Universe.

At Crown Jewel, Rollins is set to battle Cody Rhodes in a Champion vs Champion clash that will define both men’s legacies. If The Visionary loses, Heyman could decide it’s time to walk away.

A betrayal from The Wise Man would not only devastate Rollins but also open the door for Heyman to realign himself with Roman Reigns or perhaps even orchestrate the rise of a new client.

Given Heyman’s history of abandoning champions at their lowest moments, this betrayal seems both logical and inevitable.

Randy Orton could accidentally cost Cody Rhodes the match

Cody Rhodes is set to face Seth Rollins for the WWE Crown Jewel Championship in one of the most anticipated matches of the year. However, a twist involving Randy Orton could completely change the outcome.

The Viper recently teamed with The American Nightmare on SmackDown, only for Rollins to interfere and cost them their match. Many expected Orton to retaliate against The Visionary, but Crown Jewel might play out differently. During the bout, Orton could attempt to assist Cody in neutralizing Rollins, only for his involvement to backfire.

A mistimed strike, a referee distraction, or even an accidental RKO could cost Rhodes the championship, allowing Rollins to escape with the win. This wouldn’t be a full-fledged betrayal yet, but it would plant the seeds for a major storyline heading into the next PLE. Cody’s trust in Orton would begin to erode, setting the stage for a slow-burning feud between the two former Legacy members.

Their friendship would fracture, not through malice, but through the kind of mistake that evolves into deep resentment, the perfect setup for an emotional rivalry later in 2025.

Jey Uso could once again break away from his brother

Jimmy Uso vs Jey Uso WWE Raw

Tension between The Usos has reached its breaking point. Once inseparable, Jey and Jimmy Uso now find themselves divided by jealousy, ego, and Roman Reigns’ manipulative influence.

Jimmy has struggled to accept Jey’s growing popularity as “The YEET Master,” while Jey has grown increasingly frustrated with his brother’s interference.

At Crown Jewel, The Bloodline’s presence looms large, and an in-ring confrontation between the twins feels inevitable. A moment of miscommunication or frustration could see Jey finally snap, superkicking his brother and declaring his independence.

A betrayal here wouldn’t just be emotional; it would mark the true end of The Usos as a tag team and propel Jey Uso toward a renewed singles run on the grand stage.

Could Paul Heyman really betray Seth Rollins?

Yes, the possibility is strong. Heyman has been hinting at doubts for weeks, and Rollins’ potential loss at Crown Jewel could trigger his departure.

Why might Randy Orton accidentally cost Cody Rhodes the match?

While Orton may intend to help Cody against Seth Rollins, a mistimed move could cost him the victory, creating tension between the two former allies and teasing a future feud.
